Nightfly's Music Video Week in Review 1/22/12 - Evanescence, MJ, J-Love, and more!

Postby LOLtron » Mon Jan 30, 2012 5:22 am

Nightfly lists his preferred picks among last week's newly released music videos.

Chasing The Matrix:
Nightfly's Music Video Week in Review  (week of 1/22/12)

Last week I mentioned the plentiful amount of new videos released, well this week the number remained about the same, if anything it grew. This is my first January tracking music video releases so I don't know if this is just the industry's normal cycle, or not? I'm not complaining in any event.

Before jumping into this week's new video pool I present a couple bonus videos for your viewing enjoyment. The first out-of-competition video is a Behind the Scenes clip (released 1/27) for Adam Lambert's upcoming, "Better Than I Know Myself."

Next up is a full performance preview of this Tuesday's upcoming Michael Jackson themed episode of Glee. This clip of Darren Criss and the cast singing the classic disco hit, "Wanna Be Startin' Somethin'", was released last Thursday.

My regular readers may remember that Far East Movement was highlighted in my previous column for their latest video "Jello" (featuring Rye Rye). Last week VEVO released a BTS making of the video I've embedded it below.

I'll close out this week with a new video starring Jennifer Love Hewitt, but before that I thought you might be interested in a musical sticker from GetGlue I discovered last week from Seal. Check-in here to get glue for his latest album, Soul 2.
