Nightfly's Music Video Week in Review 2/12/12 - Rise Against, Ariana Grande, Andy Grammer and more!

Postby LOLtron » Mon Feb 20, 2012 9:21 am

Nightfly lists his preferred picks among last week's newly released music videos.

Chasing The Matrix:
Nightfly's Music Video Week in Review  (week of 2/12/12)

Last week offered a virtual motherlode of new videos and though I excluded some, I still feature a whopping forty clips in this column. Many BTS clips are included but the majority are full videos. One item worthy of note is the inclusion of two videos by the duo, Bleeding Knees Club. I only embed one of their two vids, however in a less crowded week I undoubtedly would've embedded both. I can't remember hearing of Bleeding Knees Club before assembling this column but I'll be keeping an eye on them from now on.

In my previous column (for the week of February 5th), I included Taylor Swift's video from The Hunger Games: Songs From District 12 And Beyond,"Safe & Sound," featuring accompaniment by The Civil Wars. See it again here. Thursday (2/16) its Behind the Scenes clip came out. Check it out (below).

Before moving onto last week's new releases, here's a clip VEVO dropped on Valentine's Day that's surely familiar to viewers of Shania Twain's recent TV series, Why Not? With Shania Twain. Now, excerpted, it serves as the revealing BTS video for "Endless Love," Lionel Richie's first single from upcoming album, Tuskegee (due out March 27th).

Bonus Video:
Before ending this entry I wanted to alert fans of Miranda Lambert's trio Pistol Annies to new stickers available for them at GetGlue. Check-in now to score a sweet Hell on Wheels sticker (among others).

Though planned and executed before Whitney Houston's untimely passing, the coincidence of Glee's Amber Riley covering "I Will Always Love You" last week served as a poignantly timed tribute for mourning fans. This full performance clip hit the net Valentine's Day.

Have a great week flippin' back to the A-side and remember to Keep Your Groove On!.
