Battling the Taliban who while not controlling Kabul control a good portion of the country. And other terrorists though many of them, probably most, are long dead.
Im confused though because you’ve done the switcheroo I’ve noticed from many.
“GWB is terrible, he’s not focused on Afghanistan, we need to elect someone who will focus the war on Afghanistan”
Election 2008, War gets focused on Afghanistsan
“PULL OUT< THIS Afghan WAR IS TERRIBLE”
Lol
basically misrepresenting your positions for yrs simply to oppose Iraq

It's precious.
I'm delighted how you're trying to make this personal for some reason. But you just look like a shit head, which is par for the course. That's why you're the butt of jokes.
We should have focused on Afghanistan instead of Iraq. Our own military admits we diverted resources to Iraq that could have been used to prevent the leadership and much of the forces of the Taliban from escaping into Pakistan. The Bush Administration instead chose to reply on the locals who were incapable, unwilling and too corrupt to actually do any good. So now we control the major cities and send soldiers out into the sticks to get picked off by farmers with rifles who are bought/threatened into fighting us. We're not really accomplishing much that's making American any safer.
I thought the surge should have been attempted in Afghanistan, but it's becoming pretty clear that it hasn't made the impact we wanted it to. How long to you stick around in that situation? At some point, I think you have to pack up and leave.
