i don't think he's saying its not an important issue, he's just saying he doesn't feel he needs to pay for people who choose to use it. You didn't address that at all.
Because he didn't provide any reasoning as to why.
Why does he think women's health care issues aren't as important?

I think women can provide their own health care for themselves. It's not up to big brother to take us to our annual check ups. HOw pathetic is our country becoming if we honestly need the government to regulate our health like this.

because you've failed to explain why contraceptives are worth his money, which is all he was talking about in the first place.

Rockman wrote:FIrst the issue with catholic runs businesses is an issue of freedom of religion, which is one of the reasons this country was founded in the first place. The result would be simple in this case, the catholic businesses will just stop offering healthcare if they don't have a choice, which I'm sure will help people in the long run.
Secondly why is it my business if someone wants to use contraception? It's not, so please don't ask me or my government to pay for it.
No it isn't at all. The church isn't being forced to do anything, if you want to run a business here you have to follow the same rules as everyone else. You can't run a business and treat women's healthcare differently just because your catholic.

Let's say I'm a catholic business owner, I want to provide my employee with healthcare. As per the requirements of my religion (which I have a right to practice thanks to the constitution) I don't want to provide a clause for contraception. People might not like it, but they don't have to work for me or my business.
Well here comes big brother government saying, nope you have to. My response is to fight, and eventually give up and say "sorry employees governments telling me how to run my business you no longer have healthcare".
It's so simple. If I want to offer a benefit to my employees why does the government get to dictate how I do that. What's next I have to provide at least 3 weeks of vacation too? Even if I can't afford that!?

I've already stated it's an important issue for women's health care. Almost half of prescriptions for contraception are taken for medical reasons as opposed to preventing pregnancy.

This also isn't true, the supreme court just passed a law saying that relgious organizations get certain exemptions in hirings and firings.

I've already stated that just because you're catholic doesn't make your business any different from anyone elses. You're free to treat women differently then men at church, but, not at the office.

oh im aware, but most of these things are hormonal imbalances and skin issues, small stuff like that ( i realize there are rare cases like endometriosis and things of that nature) but im under the impression that these things can be taken care of by other means as well. I'm not 100 percent sure though.

Since all places offer the same amount of maternity time as they do paternity time?

neither is Hab, is just quoting made up statistics and ignoring the ridiculousness of his argument.
