Seriously. I missed the part with the the JSA on the monitors. What's to prevent Hawkman from swooping in and catching him ?

At the time of the attack he was supposed to be miles away from Washington. I think he was in Egypt or China?
However, Liefeld is an enigma wrapped in a pouch-filled, muscular, footless conundrum.

I think by far the most likely person to save Clark will be J'onn. He can fly just as fast as Clark and was still somewhere in the US, if I'm remembering it right.

Probably, but it would still be awesome if next season either Bruce swings in, or Diana or a GL swoops in. Speaking of which, since the JSA was reaching out to all its other members, why didn't they have Alan Scott on the Kandorian search? He'd be one of the few able to match them...

It would be awesome to see something like that, Alan in particular would be great, but it's not going to happen. If anything, the Legion might save him.

It could always become either the rumored Metropolis spinoff or the long rumored Green Arrow Spinoff.

May 20, 2010: Allison Mack to Leave "Smallville"
EW.com's "Ausiello Files" reports that Allison Mack will not be returning as a series regular in Season 10 of "Smallville", but she won't be leaving the show completely.
"It's amazing to think that Chloe Sullivan and I have been one in the same for over a third of my life," says Mack in an exclusive statement. "I'm truly humbled by the love and loyalty of all the fans whose enthusiasm has carried me - along with a cast and crew which has become my second family - over the past 9 and a half years. Out of respect for the amazingly loyal fans and the place I will always have in my own heart for Chloe, I'm coming back for several episodes next season to tie up Chloe's Smallville legacy properly.
"It's been a life-changing ride," Mack concludes, "and I look forward to what lies ahead with the strength of a 'superhero' as my foundation."

It's unknown at this point in time just how many episodes Allison Mack will be appearing in next season.

It's hard to imagine Smallville without her, although her Oracle role was becoming a bit over-the-top. I hope that she, Lana, and Lex make reappearances sometime before the series finale.
