I was wondering the same. If they were blueprints the measurements alone should have tipped her off. But lets give her the benefit of the doubt and say that it was an early sketch and they weren't there. There were still no rooms to speak of... :smt011

This episode was all around bad. The only thing I liked was the genie getting trapped in the mirror.

Should Rumplestiltskin be fired from the show for good acting, by that logic? Admit you like the show despite it neing crap - I do. Don't make excuses for it.

Wow. He moves to San Fran and now he's a drama expert and stage & screen critic. What's next ? Floral Arranging critiques ? :P

Don't be ridiculous. Let's talk about window treatments.

You're literally the worst thing to happen to comics since Stan Lee.

Beyond that, what kind of town is okay with the mayor spending $50,000 without any kind of council approval?
I've seen public officials resign over misappropriations totaling in the hundreds.

I agree with NewGal - this is fun, escapist TV.

Is that why he's the former mayor?

Did he take the funds without any notification or approval? Depending upon the size of a city, there's a general fund from which the mayor or other city officials can spend money without having to solicit bids. For a town the size of Storybrook, $50,000 is a lot to spend without any kind of oversight.

(And yes, I'm failing because I'm expecting real-life bureaucracy in a magical/frozen-in-time fictional town in Maine.  )

Also, $50,000 couldn't build a house in the woods. Emma should have realized that.

I said all this stuff, but apparently it's okay because the show is about fairytales.

It isn't the real world. She set up a world where she has absolute power. Where people don't even remember a time before and where time never passes. She just always was the mayor and will be.

The difference is this outside element she can't control.

and i represent little towns with little mayors who basically do whatever they want as the board rubber stamps every decision they make. So it's not too far off ;) Even more so if they had the power to kill them from afar
