Does anyone wonder if Onslaught will ever return to the X-books, given the fact that it was hinted he survived the encounter with the Secret Avengers and Young Allies 2 years ago? It would be interesting to see what direction the writers would take him after the recent death of Xavier and what went down with AVX. I could see him taking control of the Brotherhood Of Evil Mutants or the Hellfire Club or even working with Cassandra Nova or even running into Cyclops, Magneto and co. There are a lot of stories they could do with Onslaught if he makes it back into the x-books but the question is will he ever return or just remain a threat to other Marvel characters outside the X-Men.

No.
Cassandra Nova
Wouldn't mind seeing Cassandra Nova again though.

No. Stop it.
This 90's resurgence needs to stop. We don't need even more shitty ideas like fucking Onslaught from the 90's coming back.

I'd be perfectly fine with NEVER seeing Onslaught again...

I wondered why she was never apart of AVX though? I wish that we could at least know how reacted to Xavier's recent death.

I respectfully disagree here. Onslaught was a fun character in the 90's as I enjoyed how he fucked up Juggernaut with ease and the fight between him and Hulk at the end of his saga. There is much they could do with him but chances of him returning are 50/50.

In theory Onslaught was a good idea, but the name alone ruined it.

50/50 chance here. It would take a really good story to bring him back as I don't want him to be another run of the mill villain that appears too often and gets jobbed by everyone and their mother.

Well, when last we left Cassandra Nova her fate was left rather ambiguous so for her to have reacted to Xavier's death would mean that a writer would have had to actually confirm what her fate was after Morrison's New X-Men or Whedon's Astonishing X-Men. It would have been a little difficult to shoehorn her return into the middle of all the other stuff that was happening during AvX.

Didn't mean it in that way. It could be a case where she or Onslaught show up after laying low and find out that Xavier was killed recently. How either of them would react is speculation at this point.

Onslaught and the whole Heroes Reborn debacle that grew from that was one of the lowest points of a shitty decade.

I will agree with you about Heroes Reborn in this statement as the only likeable thing about that was Jim Lee's art. Onslaught's appeal to me was how he was a literal combination of Xavier and Magneto who were arch-frenemies-I also liked how his appearance solved the x-men traitor mystery where Bishop was concerned.
