Of the nominated films, I was hoping for The Descendants. I knew that it wouldn't win, but it was excellent.

7.1 was great too, but 7.2 was great in every way imaginable IMO. Perfect blend of emotion, action, drama, etc. Added bonus for bringing to end a huge franchise in a completely satisfying way.

I thought Harry Potter 7.2 was only ok. Part 1 was a lot stronger, IMO.

Part 7.2 was unwatchable. Part 7.1 was one of the best of the series.

Hugo was boring.

The academy loves getting jerked off. I'm surprised there was no dangers of film piracy speech.

Out of what I've seen so far it was the most excellent, will watch the artist this week. White people solve racism movies hold no interest for me.

Making a silent black and white movie is pretentious? What if the creators just wanted to make one of those movies? :?

Oscar Bait:

"The Artist and Hugo, a pair of Playing Against Type projects about the early days of cinema designed solely to entertain their audiences and teach film history (both films also uses interesting technologies, The Artist is silent while Hugo was shot in 3-D). They have gone on to become the two favorites to win Best Picture at the 2011 Academy Awards."

The Academy voters are people who produce dumbed-down, movie by committee/test audience crap to make a fast buck who like they still have a soul once a year so they vote for movies already awarded, usually featuring foreign people and period pieces.
However, Liefeld is an enigma wrapped in a pouch-filled, muscular, footless conundrum.
