It didn't really snow in Budapest. You get a lot of rain (and ice), but there were only one or two little snow flurries, where it either melted on contact or within a couple hours.

I had never seen a bona fide snow storm, where everything gets covered 3 inches deep, and it sticks for a week.

And, to be honest, I wouldn't mind never seeing it again. I like to be warm!

Sounds like my wife. She's only ever lived in Victoria, but she loves our Canadian winters. The ones where it snows once, is on the ground for a few hours and then melts away. I don't think she'd survive a real Canadian winter, where the snow lasts for months.

Got it on Kindle and read it, it was a lot of fun. With the first person narrative and, of course, the fact that it's all about crime, it had an almost hard-boiled feel. I liked it a lot. So what, we have a discussion thread at the end of the month?
