Say what you will about Pacific Rim, but it's tailor made for summer success. Loud explosions, giant monsters, giant robots, action, spectacle.

The fact that it's got a good cast, and a really great director just puts it on another level.

#4 The Lone Ranger Trailer looked like crap.

I've learned to be selective and not fall in love with a movie based on a trailer and the hope it won't suck. I've been there before; Transformers, Superman, Prometheus.
