Just a few photos I took and experimented with in Lightroom...

The first two were in Toronto (Kensington Market/Chinatown border) and the other two were in a park close time.

I really like this one.
Don't know if it's just my monitor, but I'd like to see the guy's face a little more.
You can do a localized fill adjustment in Lightroom, right?
I haven't used it, I've just used Camera Raw.

For the first two I took ghetto storefronts and put them on ridiculously expensive streets.

Yeah you can. Well sort of. I couldn't do fill adjustment but I did change the brightness on a localized level. Is this what you had in mind?

Maybe not so much. Just enough to see his face but not so much that he looks unnatural.
I would try to make his face match hers.
