Tommas will just keep meditating "sleeping" until something wakes him up, letting his unseen servant do all the work. Delegation is pivotal for any good wizard :P

2. get enough food
3. get away from the dead bodies/blood
4. find a way to get water.

Anything else?

Here are my ideas tell me what you think.

1. make shelter... Use a blanket and find some boards to give us a small spot of shade that we take turns in.

2. Get enough food. We have a pole that helps. We can also find a way to sew/tie two blankets together. Making it a 10x10 blanket. Then use rope on top and bottom making a net. We can place the net between two of the boats for awhile then see if we can drag up some fish.

3. Get away from dead bodies/blood... One, just by drifting we should be able to make around 50 miles a day. Or at least if this water is anything like our ocean. Two we can find drift wood and take turns paddling. Im not sure how much farther that would get us.

4. find a way to get water... This one is hard. If we had a pot of some kind we could boil some water. Then use a blanket to catch the steam and let it run down into the wine barrel. I assume that since the blankets are water resistant that the water will roll off. Im not sure where to get a pot. Or what to use in its place.

The blankets are waterproof so they wouldn't make good nets.

As for water, we could lockpick the chest and use it to boil water.

Pick Locks check (DC 20), +2 to your roll if you have someone trained assisting you.

(I had to go all the way back to page 113 to find the difficulty! Stupid box!)

Also, since you're new, you may be missing something really important about picking that lock.

Admiral Ackbar would be proud.

Detect Traps (DC 20).

I'm skilled at picking locks and disabling traps. I could give it a try once I wake up.

Seems you're at an impasse.

You just going to fish for a couple of hours until folks starts waking up?

Tommas "wakes up" and is feeling better. Probably of course after some others, but regardless eventually he gets up. He will start to make a fire with his flint and tinder in the blanket. He is a decent survivalist so he can probably de-scale a fish well and gut them. (If you want me to roll I will) They have a lot of fish, but it won't last.

If they haven't moved yet he imagines that the dead bodies floating in the water will harbor some larger animals eventually such as sharks. He keeps an eye out for their fins with a bow drawn.

"We have a lot of fish, but due to our situation we don't know how long it will last. We should ration it out over how long it may take. If we are really lucky, I might just be able to kill a shark. I doubt my one arrow will slay it either, so if anyone of you can shoot, if we are fortunate and you help, we may kill as it goes for a body."

Pinky groans as he wakes up and moves around a bit. His muscles have become very stiff and sore. "!WAKE UP! !WAKE UP!" he screams at his right leg. "Stop your blasted tingling or im going to give you a reason to want to annoy me!" He raises his hammer up as if to hit his leg...
"Thats what I thought!" He says as he looks at his hammer and shakes his head a bit. "Cant be bustin' up my own leg... Just needed to give it a bit of scare." He then walks to the edge of the boat drops his drawers and begins to take care of business into the water. "HA!" He laughs. "I scared the piss out of myself... Didnt know that could happen."

He looks around for anyone else awake to see what they doing. He smells some food cooking and his stomach grumbles. The food and drink are taken care of for the moment so he sets about making some shelter.. Three blankets arent going to make much shelter but it will be better than nothing. He looks around for material to make the shelter.

Im not sure what check I need to do. I need to find material. Come up with the best idea I possibly can to make this shelter then build it. I assume wisdom for Idea.. Search for material. And I dont have a craft skill but I do have survival.. Let me know if I need to roll something else..

I won't make you roll, as you can "Take 20" on your checks and do it the right way. After passing poles around, let's call it 8 PM now, the group has managed to catch around 40 fish altogether, but the rate a group of people like yours consumes food, that's a little over a meal and it's taken you all day to gather. You can ration, sure, but the longer you're out here the less likely rationing will be successful.

Also note: there are things a lot bigger than sharks in the ocean.

You can't see anything of any obvious use, as your Spot check was too low, but between your Wisdom and Survival rolls, you can tell that there's rain clouds far on the horizon, and they could be on top of you within a day if the wind doesn't change. The clouds aren't thunderheads but they seem to be ready to burst, and rain doesn't bode well for tiny, unprotected watercraft. You figure you've got about 24 hours before the weather changes.

Im going to pass along the information about the rain. Also I probably shouldnt build shelter anyway... Im not tall enough everyone else would have to crawl to get under it.
