Perhaps we should use the portable hole thingy to send all the civilians into the chest...and all able bodied warriors should stay and defend. Perhaps we can bluff pirates into thinking we're good enough to join them.

"Sabo! You know the Weasel doesn't care about the people under his leadership. He'd launch them at the boat himself, if he could have them to scream his name as they splattered against the side of the ship. We must stick together in some capacity, knowing that not all of us are capable of fighting. We must find a way of ridding the ship of its inhabitants and keep it in sailing capacity. Is there any way of redirecting the cannonballs at the ship or casting some kind of fear based illusion at the crew? Slug, where are you?"

"Fools. I will parlay with the captain of the ship, and convince him to let us board peacefully. Do you doubt that I can? Do you think we can take the ship purely by force, or that the pirates will have use for us if we willingly surrender? My silver tongue and dominating personality are our best chance. But in the event that I fail, we must be prepared to defend ourselves and show them what it means to trifle with me... er, us. And what better way to do that than showing that we could both sink their ship and set it ablaze in a matter of minutes? After all, we don't need the whole ship to survive... simply one or two lifeboats that they must have on board. And after they've destroyed themselves over spots on the boats, conveniently forgetting about us, it will be childs play to capture the boats from the remaining pirates, particularly with my dark magical talents."

Kind of waiting to see if Chanoc has any thoughts before moving on.

Tommas will quickly point out before any plans are hatched, "Gentlemen and ladies. I know you are fearful, we should be. This ship is not some random pirate ship floating along in the ocean. The fact it was in the wake of the Aria shows they meant business and were trailing it. If they were trailing it that means that they had intent to take it on. If a pirate vessel could take on the Aria then that means they are well prepared. Take warning my friends. Any hostile action perceived and they might just start opening fire. You can bet your blue bonnets they are watching us with a scope right now and can see every frantic movement you are making."
He then points out, "Surrender is an option for survival. Those who are wizards or have such means prepare as secretive as you can for escape from a brig. What say you all? Weasel?" he incorporates the weasel for his sake, figuring he would like to make an executive descision.
"Is he on our side?" "Yep" "Then why is he spying on us?" "Don't ask"

bkthomson talking here not Sabo. Ok, stop me if I'm over thinking this. The idea of surrender and talk our way in or whatever is becoming more appealing but also wondering if it would not hurt to have some backup or someone sneak into the ship while all eye are on the discussion and at least lay low in case something goes bad?

"Hmmm, your plan has merit, for the plan of a dolt," says the Weasel. "I can go to the ship and negotiate on our behalf, even if it results in surrender, a temporary surrender, from which I will eventually have my sweet, glorious revenge! In the meantime, I will summon one of the most evil creatures in all of creation to do my bidding... a dolphin! The rogues can take two of the blankets, fashion them into bubbles to hold air, and then take them underwater. Breathing the air from the blankets, they will ride the dolphins underwater to the bottom of the ship, where they will use the portable hole to sneak in and hide in the cargo hold so that they can later rescue us from the brig. Well, rescue you, I shall have no need for help, being a powerful dark wizard."

FYI, there's a crow's nest and no doubt more eyes in the sky watching your every movement. It'd take a Hell of a Hide check to do anything with the kind of stealth you're describing, including laying low or sneaking anywhere near the ship.

I say we just surrender for the time being. I'm skilled at hiding and disguising myself. A few of us could maybe sneak aboard and help rescue the others later once the ship reaches land.

To BKthompson: Oh no doubt, I wish we did too but it's not likely. Like stated, we are being watched.

Tommas shrugs his shoulders at the weasels response, "Suit yourself."

He will surrender when the time comes but will remain distant from the weasel. There is no doubt they are being watched, and Tommas even thinks that if the ship was trailing the Aria, that there was probably someone on board letting them know where it was, since it was so far off in the distance. Maybe it is possible that that "someone" is on the raft now. He just remains calm and fishes saying, "Who knows, maybe they need someone to scrap barnacles."
"Is he on our side?" "Yep" "Then why is he spying on us?" "Don't ask"

Unless someone is rolled overboard and when asked we can say person X did not make it and was dead weight. just need a tube or something to allow the person to flat face down and breath. hmm. .
