I was referring to the exposure and the quality of the games played. The NBA Finals flatout sucked.

It was highlighted a bit before, but hockey was poised to surpass basketball in the early 90s, IMO. Bettman has ruined the league. Their cable deal is a bigger disaster than the WWF's decision to go with TNN over USA several years ago.

I'd love to agree with you (it is my favorite sport) but it just does not have the national exposure that even golf, NASCAR, and horseracing have. Bettman is definitely part of the problem.

Detroit is an exception to the majority of the country. People love the Rangers in NY, but that pales in comparison to the other teams in the city.
