Sandshrew is my HM Slave and I'm probably gonna be replacing Pidgeotto with an Espeon given half the chance, because he's just useless.

Just ran into someone who I didn't know played the game, he calls them HM Whores instead of Slaves.

I like that a lot better!

I never have a HM Slave. Every Pokemon in my party is important and there for a reason other than HMs.

A word of warning who have not yet taken on Gym Leader Whitney, her pokemon Milktank can be a real P.I.T.A it have high defense,a move that deal considerable damage and cause your pokes to flinch frequently and worse of all, a recovering skill that nearly bring her back to full health.
If you don't have a strong psychic or figthing type your best bet is to cause her any status change condition like burn, paralyze, sleep or preferable poison.

I had to paralyse it, then hit it with enough Sand Attack that it couldn't touch me before I killed it. Took bloody ages but Heracross got it done.

Because I ubered an Aerdactyl at the expense of all other teammates, my Pterdoom was powerful enough to take Miltank out in one Crunch.

Just last night he ran the entire Elite 4 + Lance; only taking a break because Lance's Gyrados survived a shot and hit me with a potent water attack. I had to swap him out for Phanpy (who suicide stalled) long enough to heal Aerodactyl.

After you beat the 'game', Prof Elm gives you the SS Ticket. Head up to Olivine and hop on the boat - you leave the Johto area and end up in Vermilion City in Kanto (Pokemon games Red, Blue, Leaf Green, Fire Red).

The entire region is there waiting to be traveled to.

So far the wild Pokemon (outside Vermilion) are low level (12-14) but the trainers all have Pokemon around levels 38-42. (The Gym in that town was tougher than some Elite 4 battles (but then Electric doesn't mix well with my Flyer).

Supposedly once you get to Pallet town, Professor Oak gives you a new start.

Also supposedly, there might be a third region to fully explore where you get a third starter.

I'm thinking retiring Aerodactyl and starting another uber.
Help me pick between...

Did you imported Aerodactyl from another game?Because otherwise I don't know how the hell you could have that pokemon and at that level no less that early on the game.

God I hate my Ampharos. It's so damn slow.

Also definitely raise a Tyranitar, they're amazing. Once I get to Mt Silver I'm training one up for sure.
