Ugh - let's give people (kids mostly) that live east of the Mississippi (and with airports still closed all over the place) that they have to travel hundreds/thousands of miles if they want to participate.

I love Nintendo/Pokemon, but between them not knowing their products were going to be popular at X-Mas, still no word on Pokemon Bank and now giving just a couple days notice that a major event is going to happen... I think they need a new PR team.

This week, players from the Super Bowl-bound Seattle Seahawks and Denver Broncos have been taking in all that New York City (and East Rutherford, NJ) has to offer. Food, parties, you name it. That is, except for Broncos linebacker Nate Irving, who has spent the time playing Pokémon.

Irving, 25, is not surprising his Broncos teammates by spending the week in his Jersey City hotel room.

"He does little weird things," Broncos defensive end Robert Ayers told the Wall Street Journal.

Irving doesn't mind.

"I know not too many people are into the things I'm into," he said. "I just embrace that and I enjoy it."

There's no word as to which version of Pokémon Irving prefers (Red/Blue? Gold/Silver? Black/White? X/Y? Pokémon Snap?), but he's known for playing video games in his spare time. USA Today points out that he would play Call of Duty for up to ten hours in the off-season.

Heh and the official twitter still hasn't mentioned it.

Maybe they are waiting to be sure it doesn't come crashing down

Pokémon: Diancie revealed in CoroCoro Magazine

Back when Pokémon X and Pokémon Y were released worldwide last October, as has become a pseudo-tradition upon the release of a new generation, hackers pocked and prodded at the ROM of the games to try and find out what goodies GameFreak had left inside. One of these was the Jewel Pokémon Diancie, a Rock/Fairy-type Pokémon. This 719th Pokémon is the first Mythical Pokémon of the franchise’s sixth generation and is slated to star in the latest Pokémon movie, which has been retitled Cocoon of Destruction & Diancie.
