Holy crap guys, all that sounds really messed up. I'm sorry you both had to go through that.

Meh. In hind sight I think the problems I was going through at the time had more to do with my marriage than actually being in the Navy, though the job did suck. I really wish I had stuck it out. I tried several times to get back into the Army after that, but because of the cause of my separation (UA, which is a slightly less offensive version of AWOL) I was not allowed to re-join. I really, really wanted to join when we went to war. Had I gotten back in, I would have stayed until I finished my twenty. I don't have many regrets in life, but that is the biggest of them all. Should have never got out of the Army. Had I stayed in I would have retired this year.

Had a good friend that was in the Air force. They get a lot flack from the other branches for being a bunch of pussies, but I guess they are ok.

Air Force is smartest enough to send their officers into combat instead of the enlisted men.

yeah,to me that is the best thing about it too,you meet different guys,make great friends and call them brothers
