Meh. In hind sight I think the problems I was going through at the time had more to do with my marriage than actually being in the Navy, though the job did suck. I really wish I had stuck it out. I tried several times to get back into the Army after that, but because of the cause of my separation (UA, which is a slightly less offensive version of AWOL) I was not allowed to re-join. I really, really wanted to join when we went to war. Had I gotten back in, I would have stayed until I finished my twenty. I don't have many regrets in life, but that is the biggest of them all. Should have never got out of the Army. Had I stayed in I would have retired this year.
