you really should be. Right now. Comics might be a sad mess these days, what with Fear Itself and DCnU and whatever the hell else is going on. But in the world of direct market graphic novels, business is good.

Go buy it. Now.

I know I should have pre ordered this.

Batman: Noel is on my reading list. I'll try to finish it, tomorrow.

Andddddddd...I finished it. Batman: Noel has the most effective use of A Christmas Carol that I've seen in comics, this year. That being said, I'm not a fan of the writing. It's not bad, but it's not great. The art is easy on the eyes, though.

Sounds like you didn't like it.
The art should look great, not just easy on the eyes.

Bermejo isn't necessarily a favorite of mine, but I can appreciate his work.

Hey guys, if you haven't seen the movie Beginners with Christopher Plummer and Ewen McGregor I highly recommend it. It's a quiet movie but very well done.

And Happy New Year to all of you!

I'm a fan of both actors so I'll try to find it.

Considering that both groups pretty much have the same couple people accounting for most of the posts nowadays

I am very sorry I wasn't around. But life happened. My laptop died and until that got taken care of, I really couldn't do much of anything online. Once I got it fixed, I just hung out at CBR's DC sub-forums. Lots of other stuff was going on, including a new roommate moving in (which has been a bit of an adventure--both good and a little bad).

The past month, I've had severe health problems plus my dad now has cancer. This led to me speaking with my father for the first time in a decade (it went better than I expected).

Still having some health problems, though it's getting better. But now that life is starting to settle down again (knock on wood), I decided to peek my head in again.

Again, very sorry I disappeared. But when things go crazy and duty calls, well, ya gotta take care of practical things. And honestly, all the right wing Republican threads and posts on OH sometimes are an absolute nightmare to wade through. A combination of root canal and open heart surgery can look more appealing than dealing with that. :P

And how YOU doin'? 8)
