I confuse a lot of fellow queers. My card is most likely revoked and shredded by now.

None.

I grew up on Horror movies and Power Rangers and Disney flicks. Those were the earlier forms of musicals for me.

Only two books have ever made me cry. Where the Red Fern Grows (I was 12, I loved dogs at the time) and Charlotte's Web (goddamn that little spider had heart.)

A special mention I'd give to Y: The Last Man. Because #59 is the only comic that's ever moved me to tears, but it made me weepier than three Pixar films put together.

In fact, I still get sad when I think about it. Fucking BKV and Pia Guerra and their amazingly fleshed out and fully realized characters.

I grew up on that stuff too ... but my folks (for all their flaws of which there are many) loved old movies and music. So I was exposed to a lot of "classic" stuff growing up. It's probably why a lot of retro stuff still holds a soft spot in my heart.

I've yet to read Y like that. I've read the first trade years ago (don't remember much of it) and I read some stuff here and there. I really hope to get invested on the series soon. And I wanna get invested to be sad at the end too like everyone else does.

I never cried from a book except for Hine's Daredevil book. There was some sad crap there that really got me. Certified my love for the writer.

My mom isn't really into old movies. The classics she showed me were Clash of the Titans and The Shining. I got into classics due to film school.

My cousin (who is basically the only family member I consider family) just graduated from one down here. So, what's it like. Film school, that is?

Love it. Learned a shit ton. Became a bigger appreciator of films, got into some stuff I would never had. Made some great friends, some great films. Shot my most personal one a few months back, still have to finish it but it's damn dear to me and been getting great feedback. Studying film while doing theater has definitely helped me mentally.

If I'm going to be spending more time on the OH forum, I need to diversify my conversational topics. All I ever talk about here is dudes and music.

Okay, maybe that's not that different from how I am in real life, but still reputations can stick!

I need to go brush up on my Philosophy 101 just in case an opportunity arises to thrust my brain into everyone's faces ... wait, let me rephrase that ...

My cousin is doing a lot of theater work herself (not acting, but on the producing/writing/directing side.) We always toy with idea of us getting together and making some stuff happen, but there's always some other shit going down. Hopefully I'll be able to make time soon, it's always been a goal of mine to be involved in some facet of the media arts.

Don't give up, man. Just do it, push forward. Don't just slack back and say you're gonna do it and don't.

Anyways, man, gotta peace out. Long ass day tomorrow. Have a good one.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not pushing it aside, just have more pressing matter at the moment, but once I get them done, I plan to completely re-evaluate my goals and figure out where I want my life to be heading.

Anyway, peace out dude. Good luck.
