How goeth the work?
Good. Finally on it after being lazy all summer. I was panicking when I started but now I'm not worried about running out of time, I'll get it done.

Fair enough on the Kitty Pryde front, fellows. Diff'rent strokes and all that :)

And Emma's claws dulled after that whole Genosha bit; went less piratical and all that. This meant she started wearing more clothes, which was cool, and calmed herself. The 'Torn' arc remains some of my favorite psychological warfare writing to date.

there, that's my reneging. You all win :)

And see, the old Emma Frost I knew, would never say something like that. I would think she would be, "they hate us and that is why we will give them no quarter and take no prisoners. Of course, I remember her when she was evil and beyotch! LOL.
Scott Summers really pussified her. I miss the stark sexual chemistry she had with Sean Cassidy. This is why Marvel killed him off. To prop Emma up as Cyclops's girlfriend. Which is a shame for Marvel to think by getting a female character to be more popular and iconic, she has to sleep her way up.

Nope. Warren Ellis did a more admirable job when he had her start dating Pete Wisdom who was much older than her.

Most people wouldn't say anything and just stop calling, this seems to be an accepted way of stopping seeing people after a short time. I'm not sure anymore, I'd think a phone call or email would be fine with me-better then in person rejection. lol

Guess it depends on how involved you are with them, if you're really quite and properly set on not seeing them anymore, etcetera. Make sense? As one who's been on the receiving end of the 'never call, never write' quotient, I gotta say: a head's-up, even if it's to say 'sorry man, not interested' is more preferable than a high and mighty drop.

yay metaphors.

but its your call buddy :)

How r u, Arion? :D

Oh well, you could always buy the first Astonishing X-Men trade, if only for Cassaday's art.

I went to a party this weekend. Had a wonderful time. It's weird, you know, my birthday was a month ago and I was terribly bored most of the time. But I went to this girl's party, a wonderful girl that I've always cared about, and I have the time of my life.

You can't win all the time, can you?

Next time say something different about Kitty Pryde, but not the age thing. Under Whedon's run she was hardly 14 ... unless he was planning to have an underage sex scene.

Oh well, important thing is that we actually talked about comics here.

Fine. I found her to be a little devolved/ giddy schoolgirl thing, particularly with the whole phasing through the floor thing while in-Colossus-delicto. But I digress :)

Watching Superman Returns now, a perfectly serviceable movie that I initially only watched for Kevin Spacey's Lex-portrayal, but has since grown on me. Like a happy cancer :)
