If they're 100% uncomfortable with the request then no but then if that was the case here we wouldn't be seeing this thread then would we?

I think she's telling Dragovan to go do what he wants because she's currently doing what she wants.

But that's coming from a jaded divorcee.

So if it is 50% comfort level go head out to the fields?

I think her last boyfriend cheated on her. That's why she has the attitude that if I am going to do something I should tell her. She's more upset by the idea that I would lie to her (which I wouldn't) than by me being with another woman.

Reality is, I'm probably not going to do anything. Definitely no more one night stands. If I find a "fuck buddy" that would be okay but I'm not going to go out to bars every night.

Yup. If any level of you wants to go have anonymous sex and there is no other party stopping you then you are essentially a single man and should be allowed to behave as such if you want to.

That's a new wrinkle. If she's telling you to do it because she's afraid you're going to do it anyways that's not someone with an open attitude, that's someone with trust issues. In that case fucking random chicks would only validate her negative opinions of men and lump you in with them.

It also stands in conflict with her earlier glib attitude of "go practice so I can reap the rewards" comment.

Remember that tradition you mentioned earlier about her going from her father's house to yours? you might went to squeeze in a stop off at the marriage councilor's office along the way 'cause I don't think she knows what she wants.

Maybe you're right. All I know is if I were to do something (and that's a big if), I would run it past her.

She's my wife and I don't intend to make her unhappy.

Yeah hate to say it but Bender is right. You could be compounding more trust issues. While I would not say that marriage counselor right out the door it is an idea to look into down the line once you are settled in. This is not for anything bad just to help work your relationship.

On the completely sinnical side, if you ever get divorced she could use it against you. "He cheated on me only weeks after we got married. Look at this thread on the Outhouse the greatest comic book web sight on the planet as proof!!!"

Hehe I note the omission of "happy". Then again, thinking Bender, one does not normally think "happy". :)
