IIRC, the head of the Secret Empire looked like/was the sitting POTUS and offed himself in front of Captain America, causing him to give up the role of Cap for awhile.

This president was Nixon.

He didn't just meet President Kennedy - he saved his life. Making the post assassination story all the more disturbing.

Edit - Ack! No he didn't, I was confusing the story. Kennedy (in a way) saved Superman by pretending to be Clark Kent. :oops:

First - that Fantastic Four issue was just way too much Doctor Who.

Second - you can't just say the Thing was Blackbeard to noobs without showing them...
