It's too bad he has to go back in, but I think he's a douche.

I wouldn't be shocked to hear that. I remember the Seattle show cast were threated like crap by the natives there.

Yeah, I'm watching it right now.

Missed the first 20 minutes or so. Probably missed all the real emotionally hard-hitting stuff (though I'm sure some more of that will come).

Katlyn's stupid though. She needed a lobotomy, not have her n   s cut off.

LORD, I really hope Ryan comes back, or doesn't even end up have to go. This is the kind of guy America needs. Keep him safe.

I hope he comes back as well, but let's not put him on a pedestal. The guy is a tool.

Seriously, I don't know why the crap this is affecting me the way it is, but it is. This stuff is really making me think about a lot of things about my life. I had some medical stuff that cut my stint in the Army way too short, and pretty much against my will. And despite that there are still parts of me that shout out "Soldier", no matter what my heart or mind says.

I guess seeing the War in Iraq personalised on some level is doing that. My freind's brother was over there, but I really haven't talked to him much about it. Respected his privacy, I guess. But the same Sword of Damocles is over his head along with some other friends (some've been over there, some haven't). Knowing this could happen to them scares me a bit. One's in the Marine Reserve, so it really could happen to him.

Puts on psychologist hat:

It sounds like you may be feeling guilty that you aren't there (even if it wasn't your fault) and are feeling survivor's remorse.

I just read a blog Ryan posted over at MTV. I don't really feel like posting it here, but here's the link.

http://www.realworlddailies.com/Post/My-Biggest-and-Only-Fear/092ECFFFF0195AD36000800B28A67

On second thought I'll post this part...

People say "Ryan, just don't show up." I can't do that because then it would be a crime punishable under the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ) and I would land myself in jail if I didn't show up. There is no fighting it. I just have to go and I will go. I want to show people that the I.R.R. exists and it’s a pain in the ass. If I got out of it, I wouldn't be doing justice to those who have been plucked out of their lives to once again wear the uniform, a gun placed in their hands, and fight again. I will do so because deep down I know its the right thing to do and their still is fighting to be done and work to be accomplished over there. I do have the training and experience so I know I can be an asset to whomever I will be attached to.

Letting it sink in some, I kinda look forward to it. It’s a challenge and damn I love challenges. I do feel horrible that I have to put my family through this again. It was tough last time but this one will be tougher because no one expected it. I didn't even expect I would be doing another deployment. I mean, I gotta get a haircut. Crap! When life hands you lemons, you know what you gotta make, and I'll be drinking plenty of lemonade as I transition back into the uniform that I proudly wore and shall wear again. Bring 'em home, Obama.

I think I'm over this crap, and it hits me hard again.

Just got home. Missed 99.44% of the finale. Glad to see the Army let Ryan come back for the reunion show. I hope he serves honorably and doesn't end up spending a full year (or more) over in Iraq.

It's weird seeing him in uniform. But it's still cool. I think he's A Specalist. Airborne too. Awsome.

No. I'm not.

Trust me, this whole stuff has done a number on my life. I've gotten back involved with friends who were in one branch of the service or another. I found out tonight one's thinking of going back in tonight. Any I can pretty much say It's at least in part because of this Ryan stuff.
