Seriously, I don't know why the crap this is affecting me the way it is, but it is. This stuff is really making me think about a lot of things about my life. I had some medical stuff that cut my stint in the Army way too short, and pretty much against my will. And despite that there are still parts of me that shout out "Soldier", no matter what my heart or mind says.
I guess seeing the War in Iraq personalised on some level is doing that. My freind's brother was over there, but I really haven't talked to him much about it. Respected his privacy, I guess. But the same Sword of Damocles is over his head along with some other friends (some've been over there, some haven't). Knowing this could happen to them scares me a bit. One's in the Marine Reserve, so it really could happen to him.
