The plot shouldn't need to be more complex than that. That's basically the Avengers origin.

Sure. I'm just saying that the cartoon has had more intricate plots in 22 minutes. Again, I hope you love the film. There are certainly many many moments to love. I think Whedon even did a great job of expanding Black Widow and giving her a reason to be part of the team.

An intricate plot doesn't necessarily equate to quality. Same with a simple plot.

How's Black Widow an Hawkeye in terms of screen time and importance in relation to the rest? Was Twig wrong?

I thought they did a really good job with them. Renner is underutilized, but he gets his screen time. I really thought they should have gone a little more with Ultimate Hawkeye. The arrow schtick is cool, but considreing that even Cap picks up a gun, it may have made sense here.

One odd note, I really like Renner as an actor, but 3-4 times in this film I thought that he really overexagerrated his movements. Comically so. It's a nitpick and not a big deal but I wonder if anyone else will pick up on it.

Black Widow is handled really well. In one way, she grounds the team by being a normal human, but she also shows her worth. I do think that Johansson is miscast as Widow (but that really has nothing to do with this movie). I think Whedon used her character in some surprising ways and she was more than just cheesecake in the film.

Seen a few people now say Hawkeye isn't in it much and is underutilised. The IGN review said the same thing.

Well, no, but he was in it quite a bit.

Hawkeye gets mind-controlled by Loki from pretty early on. So he does show up in the film quite a bit, but we certainly don't get much characterization on him at those points. So he gets a decent amount of screen time.

Ah, ok.

I do think that Hawkeye was probably the weakest of all the Avengers. Like I mentioned, I thought that Whedon handled Widow really well, and of course Thor, Iron Man, and Cap were in it a lot. Hulk really stood out at the end. And Loki was fucking awesome. Hiddleston just gets it.

I'm not being funny, but you've trolled me for ages, constantly insulting me when I'm not in threads, so to be proven right against you is pretty funny.

Like I said, jon isn't the first person to claim Hawkeye is the weakest Avenger and not in this movie much, whilst you originally said he'd be in the film as much as the "Big 3".

It's just funny seeing you now turn this around.
