SDCC: Flash and Justice League Movie in 2016 and 2017?

That's what Hollywood Reporter is saying.

Source: THR

Now things are getting interesting.  Hollywood Reporter has published an article that claims that WB will be announcing tenative plans for Flash and Justice League movies in 2016 and 2017 as well as the previously reported Superman/Batman movie.  The article literally has no other information besides that.

We'll see what happens, folks.

If Superman/Batman--a guaranteed moneymaker--is announced, there's no reason to believe this won't happen too.

Flash would an interesting character to see, he's different in that he isn't motivated by tragedy like most of the other superheroes.

Quality-wise, on the other hand...

Flash, it would seem to me, would be the trickiest of all the DC icons to adapt to the big screen.

Let's hope it doesn't end up being like the Green Lantern movie debacle.

Then you'd better hope Johns stays away from the movie version.

I thought the story was now that his Mom died when he was 11 and he spent years as a kid learning forensic science to try and exonerate his father of the crime. It's the whole reason he became a policeman and then became The Flash.

A Nolanesque Flash.... kind of like the Geoff Johns, "My Mommy Was Murdered" Flash.

I could see it being used to explain his being a CSI, but it would have to be pushed more. Also the origin needs a serious tweak. A shelf of chemicals by a window hit by lightning... no, does not work anymore.

And hopefully it won't suck like that TV movie from years ago.

This sounds great. With Man of Steel as a launchpad, I have faith. DC is really kicking things into gear it seems and I'm really happy for it.

I must have missed that, unless you mean the old tv series from 1990.
