The rebuilt search index seems very broken. Some stuff fails to be found when looking for keywords in a basic search and it seems very selective what threads show up in 'view your posts'.

The forum is running smoother but the method I used to track the threads I'm active in seems broken now.

i actually tried search for the thread i linked to, couldn't find it and ended up using google to locate it.

It comes up now if you search for cosplay. I changed the indexing scheme again. This time, instead of attempting any kind of merging, I'm just updating the delta index every minute and then reindexing the whole site each night. Reindexing seems to pick everything up, so where we're losing stuff seems to be either in the delta itself or when the delta is merged (which we're now not doing).

So let's see if this scheme works. Please bear with me and keep reporting anything you find wrong.

Cool. There should be at most a 1 minute delay, as the delta index is running every minute (it only needs to index a few posts each time so it's really fast).
