Ah, sweet, delicious unique hits! *rubs Erik's unique hits all over his naked body*

You're literally the worst thing to happen to comics since Stan Lee.

I enjoyed this show and will continue to watch it. The choreography and songs were good, the characters were good (if not horribly original), the acting was good, the plot was fun, and I just had a good time with the show.
My one complaint was that some of the music choices (not the songs, but like the background music to scenes) was odd. There were moments that sounded like they came from a 90's sitcom or something and others that tried to make the show sound really epic. It was a bit odd, but if that's my biggest complaint than I'm really happy with the show overall.

Got around to watching it. I liked it for the most part, but I was a bit annoyed by the two writers. Both overacted and their reactions were a bit over the top.
However, I did like the musical choices and I think this is more of a "musical" type show than Glee, which is just what I wanted.

Great article Erik and congrats on breaking the site. I finally watched it last night and have to admit that I enjoyed that single first episode more than I have two thirds of the Glee episodes.
I enjoy Glee, but the cheesy factor is too much for me sometimes. This show seems like an anti-Glee.
I'll continue to watch both though.

the thing i like about them being different, is Glee makes me laugh and smile for an hour.. where as Smash is gonna be something that will probably make me think.. sure glee makes me think, but its a different type of think.

It was pretty much what I was hoping for. I've seen Megan Hilty in Wicked,so I always expect *ahem*
big things from her.

Was hoping for more screen time of Brian D'arcy James, but it's early. And the point of the current state of Broadway being mostly adaptations of movies or revivals was spot on mostly.

False advertising at its finest. No Smash. No Ax. No Crush, even. Hope Vince sues.
