I actually liked the old one. This one looks like a badge for a MLS team.

Yeah, keeping the old badge is my preference too. If I had the choice I'd keep it, but I understand the reasons why the change is being made. The old badge was never copyrighted for some reason -- I'm still not clear on the whole situation regarding how that came about. At this point the team let things go too long, with too many others being allowed to use the logo, that they no longer have the right to legally copyright it. The new owners have decided to correct this situation and the only way to do that is to choose a new badge.

I watched Totenham Hotspur vs Swansea this morning over at a friend's place. I was disappointed to see Swansea lose, but the game was good.

Reina's headbutt....just.....wow.

I'd say i was shocked that Carroll was run off the field but TBH that was long overdue. Him and Torres seem to be in the "trying so hard not to score" club. Except you know, Torres can actually do other stuff on the field :P

And Torres scored this weekend! It was a good goal too, albeit in the 92nd minute with the game pretty much already won.

I remember a show where some guy was ragging on him for not being able to score and someone pointed out everything else he does like move around, pass to the others and give them a ton of opportunities (Mata in this case) to score while sacrificing his goal tally as a result.

I liked that Torres. Made me think he should be playing behind the main striker(s) rather than full forward.

Yeah, his approach play has been good, but for a £50m forward... goals are kind of expected. I know the price-tag is not his fault, but you don't pay that amount of money for assists.

I was glad to see Tottenham win. I want them to at least get the third place spot this year.

Ibrahimovic speaks onUEFAlona:

"How can he give a penalty like that?" Ibrahimovic told Mediaset. "If he gave that penalty, he should have given my penalty.

"The game is not about the man in green. It's a shame. I couldn't believe he called a penalty when the ball wasn't in play.

"It seems like Uefa wants a certain two teams in the Champions League final. Now I understand how Mourinho feels every time he comes to Camp Nou."

Flashbacks to 2009 here. Explain why Ibrahimovich didn't get one for the same foul? or why did Robinho get called for a handball.

4-3-3-3 truly is the unbeatable formation.

OK, so I thought it was a definite thing that Palace was going to change their badge, but I just found this.
