I posted these predictions a little less than a year ago (August 17th) and I figured I'd see how I did.

My predictions:

1: I think this is Cardiff's year for promotion.

2: I don't like Tottenham's chances of finishing in the top four. I'm thinking sixth place tops. They lost a lot of important pieces in the off season and I don't think they did enough to replace them.

3: Like last year, I think that the top spot in the Premier League is going to come down to the two big Manchester teams.

4: I think Rangers will only spend one season down in Scotland's Third Division.

5: Palace will struggle this season. I hate to say it, but I think they'll be in the middle of the relegation fight this year.

Anyone have their own predictions.

I was correct about Cardiff

My prediction about Tottenham was fairly good. I was right about them not finishing in the top four, but wrong about their position. Still, I was only off by one position place, so I'd say not bad overall.

Man Utd. and City finishing one and two -- this one, I was sort of right about. They did finish top two, but I have to admit I was predicting a closer finish than what we got.

The Rangers prediction was a shoe in bet that I had no doubt I'd be correct about.

My Palace prediction was the one I got completely wrong. I'm alright with that though given how thing actually turned out. :-D

Overall, I'd say my predictions were pretty good. I got two exactly right, one about 90% correct and I'd say the top two prediction was at least 70-80% correct. Of my five predictions, I only got one completely wrong.

Now that I've seen how I did last year, let's try this season:

1: I think Watford will win promotion to the Premier League

2: Leicester and Brighton will both be in contention for promotion. I don't know if either team with actually win promotion though.

3: Man. Utd. will struggle a little bit without Sir Alex Ferguson. I don't expect them to drop out of the top four, but I don't expect them to finish in first place either.

4: Rangers will win promotion again -- yeah, I know this is an easy one again this year.

5: Crystal Palace will struggle this year, but will find themselves on the good side of the line between relegation and safety. I expect It's going to be close though.

Speaking of Cardiff, great signing in Gary Medel from Sevilla. Should provide a great deal of steel and aggression in the midfield. And a hot temper lol.

West Ham United are set to reunite the dynamic pairing of Andy Carroll and Stewart Downing. When these two megapowers unite, goals and assists will come like an avalanche.

The only thing they're missing now is Bebe who is simply too good for United.

Palace have signed Marouane Chamakh to a one year deal with an option for a second if they stay up after this season.

Looks like Arsenal are getting Bayern's Luiz Gustavo, but of course, Napoli are also sniffing around him.

Imagine of Napoli steal yet another Wenger target!
