Looks like we're going for Ander Herrera from Bilbao based on these responses on their official twitter (press conference quotes)...if you remember Bilbao beating us you'll know he's worth it:

Great passer, mobile, resiliant and has a much more physical presence than most playmakers....much better suited to a B2B role as CM than Fabregas or Thiago ever were. Before this season....he was part of the United killing Bilbao..but then as you might know Biesla went nuts after the Llorente thing and the team self destructed worse than the 2010 WC French National team..If Bilbao had repeated Bielsa's first year last season, Ander would have easily been as coveted as Isco was this window.

Here's the tough part though, Bilbao has no need of selling players. They bring their entire team through the academy (save from some exceptional player bought here and there like Benat this year) so they have little need of $$$ other than for wages. That's how they extorted 40m off Bayern for Javi Martinez...but then again I'd argue he proved he was worth every cent by being a key part of their treble win.

Paired with Carrick Herrera could be a game changer. But after Bilbao went to shit with the infighting its a case of whether they broke him or if United is just the team he needs to jump-start that engine again.

I'm stuck with Charter as my cable company, so instead of being able to watch the College games the rest of the country gets, I settled for the Everton and CP matches.

My wife came in and out of the living room often during both games and near the end of CP/Sunderland she finally stops and asks me "why doesn't soccer have any commercials?"

I thought Palace were really excellent in that match, all 3 promoted teams have surprised me.

I have no doubt that Cardiff will stay up. I'm less sure when it comes to Palace and Hull, but I do believe both teams do have what it takes to have at least a chance.

I died laughing at this clip...not your usual youtube montage but it's from a game this season in the Liga to give you an idea on his technique:

Looks like he's got talent, but the team constantly fails around him

Carrick got bullied by Johnson
Evra got done by Henderson
Cleverley you are not Paul Scholes...stop trying those balls
Why have Kagawa and play Giggs?

Welbeck looks promising...kinda. About the only positive I can give is that both teams look very leaky. Also annoyed that the Sturridge goal was 100% offside.

And just as I'm typing this Cleverley tried to get revenge on Coutinho in a not-so-clever fashion. @ Sturridge telling him off for waving the imaginary card.

Now Valencia RB?! And RVP is getting frustrated as hell. aaaand Carrick now.

But let me guess, Ando is going to come and save us in the midfield

I'm no Man Utd fan, but I really think Kagawa should be starting ahead of Giggs.

Water is being pumped on to the Anfield turf, only over the half of the pitch that Liverpool will be attacking in the second half. Home advantage.

Gotta love it
