Even last year in the Championship, Palace under his helm weren't that great. Under Dougie Freedman, Palace were a team on a huge unbeaten streak that were competing for first place. Under Holloway, they steadily dropped down the standings and just barely qualified for the playoffs. Both this season and last season, under Holloway, they lost more games than they won. He got them going at just the right time and they won both playoff games, but before those two games they were on a five or six game winless streak.
Don't get me wrong, I'm happy that he got them going for those two games. Having said that, if you look at his record as manger of Blackpool and his record as manager of Crystal Palace, it's like night and day.
