West Ham have signed Italy international Antonio Nocerino on loan.

WTF? How have they managed that?

And now 3 - 2 for City. Well, it seemed like it was going to be a big upset for awhile there.

If Rooney and RVP are fit for Tuesday and Mata starts the atmosphere is going to be mental.

Normally I'd piss on your bonfire by saying he's the kind of player you already have plenty of and won't make a massive difference, but we did the same with with Ozil and I'm pretty happy with how that's going. He's a great player but this doesn't bode well for keeping one of Rooney\Kagawa I guess.

I'll have to disagree.

In terms of quality, Mata is only 25 and has proven his skills in the Premier League. He's not only an impact signing but a great long-term world class investment who won't have to worry about learning how PL clubs operate. We had no credible central creativity before this and it showed during our approach play in the final third.

As for his role, Mata started off as a winger in Valencia playing on the right, played as a left wing in hist first season at Chelsea and later transitioned to both the #10 and RW roles over there as well. His versatility is perfect for bringing together all parts of our attack. He's even said so himself that he can play anywhere behind a striker.

I'm seeing it as:

RVP
Januzaj - Rooney - Mata

or

Rooney
Januzaj - Mata - Valencia

I think his biggest role is to give Rooney chances to play as an pure striker again like he's been wanting to while guaranteeing he has a class #10 behind him.

I think Kagawa's the one headed out in the summer based. Rooney will probably get whatever wage he asks for.

Congrats on the signing. Even though (as a Liverpool fan) I hope he flops... I reckon he's a great signing and he'll do well for the club *she says through gritted teeth*

Anyhoooooooo... DAMN THE FA CUP DRAW!!! :smt013

Was watching it at work and came to the conclusion (after Chelsea and City had been taken) that I didn't want Arsenal and I didn't want us to be drawn away.

OH!!! LOOK!!! :?

We could do without having to travel to London. Should be a good game though.

Hope we perform A LOT better than we did against Bournemouth though, otherwise... we're OUT!! :smt011

that is the most acurate sports paper in the country, tho they dont give a lot of info in that bit, simply.he might go to man utd,and theres interest in him,can be a signing or not this month,as for the player, sure hes from a rival, but i dont see him upping his game to play in man utd,i mean hes good but not that good,in portugal, matic and javi garcia were better than him, also if you want a hot prospect check sportings william carvalho, their hot new youngster
