I like it but I'm hardly ever in the mood for soup.

It's because you live in a hot climate. When it's cold, hot soup is the best!

I like cream of mushroom, but I throw bits of chicken in it. It's good!

I made a beautiful sweet potato, butternut and ginger soup the other day. Yum!

It's pretty easy - sweat some onion and leek, add a cup of bourbon and cook it down. Add some cubed sweet potato (1 or 2), butternut squash, potato (3 or 4) and ginger Add a pint and a half of vegetable or chicken stock, some cinnamon, sage, parsley, salt and pepper Let it cook on a low heat with the lid on for half and hour.

When it's done, add some craime fraiche or sour cream (or even normal cream) then whiz it with a hand-held food processor.

Lovely.

Never buy soup from a guy selling it out of a cart on the street.

I made that dreadful mistake 2 years ago

I'm a big fan of tomato soup, btw.

I could eat that every day if I had to.

There is no such thing as wasting when it comes to soup

Unless you throw the soup out.
