ARRRGGGHHH... It's probably stupid Scott Pilgrims fault.
I gave the family a blu ray player for christmas. It's awesome. It's a Vizio VBR210 with wifi. I watched all of Weeds season 3 on it. We watched Avatar, Sherlock Holmes and Scott Pilgrim on it no problem.
I get Dark City on Blu Ray from netflix (no I have never seen it). It doesn't play. I report it as non functioning and get another one. My brother comes over tonight to watch Toy Story 3. We put it in. It plays fine for a bit then starts stopping and freezing. Take the disc out look at it, it's okay put it back in... it kicks it out. Now it want play any Blu Ray. Watching BAtman Under the hood on it right now. The internet apps seem to work fine, just says Blu Rays are unknown.
I figure it must be a firmware problem and try to update it. I get an error.
I go to vizio's website to figure it out. nothing on the site is helpful... so I hit the vizio chat and the following happens -

What the fuck?
So I try to reconnect (after futilely asking if they are there)... nothing. Hit the vizio website again, figure I should reconnect.... the stupid chat system is down until tomorrow.
AAAARRRRRGGGGGHHHH!!!!
That's what I get for trying to do something nice!
Dammit.
Anyone have any idea what is going on.
(yes I already called to find their offices closed and no helpful routing information on the phone menu and I sent them a very a rational yet, upset email about the whole situation...)
I just want to watch a fucking kid's movie for god's sake!!!!
