Yeah, I'm on the fence on this one. I like the concept, the 100% ORGANIC sort of bothers me on a technicality..

It does a good job of aping a real product label, but who wants to wear a product label?

Soylent Green is the first one I've seen that I'd consider buying. I don't find the usual formula of mixing two properties with a pun all that funny, but maybe it's just me.

Dang, this one is not for me. Now I wish I'd bought Soylent Green. I hope tomorrow is more to my liking, but I just don't like Back To The Future enough/got too burned out from decades of cable tv airings.

Their overhead is really low- there's no need for warehouse space for unsold merch and the designers aren't exactly expensive. It's probably run out of someone's home.

I think it's savvy--the designers love to see their stuff for sale, keep the rights, and get $1 per shirt sold so there's no shortage of new designs and the fact that it may only be available for 1 day is a huge incentive to buy if you're undecided.

The newsletter says soon there will be a shirt that's a tribute to '80s cartoon characters so that could be a good one coming up.

Reading the FAQ gives me the impression that the shirts aren't printed to order, so they would have unsold merchandise. Because of the nature of the designs, I can't see that there would be a lot of consistency in sales. At the very least they could leave unsold shirts up for sale until they're sold out.

Instead they do monthly grab-bags.

It's just an artsy-fartsy music shirt, they don't always do the mash-ups.. It's a very feminine shirt to me, but I've seen too much fake art deco like that in the mall.

I did buy the smurf one at the last minute, I liked the design and color of the shirt, so I went for it.
