I just though the writing-pacing and dialogue-was off. And the actors, for the most part, could have been I don’t know less tv quality. More presence. A little more professional each movie all around. I thought FF2 was pretty good but some of its trappings were a little too low budget even if the movie itself was not.
Invisible Woman was horribly miscast as well, but other than that I agree.
I think Marvel would get someone who can actually give the movies scope, make them feel bigger, and have things feel more polished. And I think they'd do great tied in with a larger universe where Reed and Tony can work together or Doom can be seen as a global threat worrying other heroes or whatever.
That said, if the rumors of the guy that did Chronicle doing the new FF end up happening, I think he could maybe make a pretty awesome movie.
