I'm going to shill for Jericho again...for those not watching, the premise of what we've learned so far is that the US experienced a major rift. A 1993 Worst Case Scenario plan commissioned by the US has been coopted by a corporate involving at least a high-ranking official from Homeland Security. Using this plan, they detonate nuclear devices in 23 American cities, and use the ensuing chaos to establish a new government based on the West Coast. Prior to the attacks, a team of Black Ops specialists were working to locate and neutralize the bombs, at the time which they thought were implanted by foreign terrorists. The small town of Jericho, Kansas, was the fall-back location for this team should their mission fail.

One member of this team, Robert Hawkins, manages to apprehend his target bomb, and brings it to Jericho shortly before the attack. 22 American cities are destroyed, and much of the first season dealt with Jericho' struggles to understand what happened, survive the winter, and then survive an attack from neighboring towns, roving gangs and at least one mercenary band.

Season Two has dealt with the new Allied States of America, uncovering the plot, and Jericho's subordination to a Blackwater-esque mercanary group working for the conspirators behind the attack. Now, one of Jericho's own has been killed by this Ravenwood group, and all Hell's about to break loose.

This is an awesome show. The attack on the farm where a main character made her last stand, and the aftermath, were some of the best TV I've seen in a long while. Hawkins, the Black Ops agent holed up in Jericho could take both Jack Bauer AND Chuck Norris...using mainly his left thumb. This show had the balls to shoot a teenage deaf girl who was defending her farm...and it's NOT produced by Joss Whedon. You must watch.

I like Jericho.

Last season was a guilty pleasure. I enjoyed it even though I thought some of it was really corny and the people acted like complete morons.

But this season has been phenominal. It's gotten really interesting now that they've gotten into the politics.

If they did this from the get-go, the show probably wouldn't be on its death bed.

They may have spent too much time last season getting to know the people. I've seen comments about how season 2 seems like a different show. But I don't see how they could have sustained the same style of season 1 for as long as they did.

They just have some very interesting, very real characters. Hawkins, Heather, Jake, Beck...Beck is amazing.

They definatly should have sped up the pace in season one. And I agree that two seems like a new show.

What happen to Jake's brother's wife?

Both she and the baby died. April started hemorrhaging at 16 weeks while at the hospital...after Eric had told her he was going to leave her, of course. He's so guilt stricken over it that he volunteers to be one of the 10 hostages sent to New Bern to help build Jericho's wind turbines, to return when Jericho delivers it's share of the salt the towns had agreed to.

I guess it shouldn't have been surprising that the show killed a pregnant mother and her unborn child. After all, they nuked a goodly portion of America's population in the very first episode.

Last night's episode was another very good one. Hawkins continues to be the Man. I was wondering why Dacry was included in the hospital stand-off plot. But as far as contrivances to get Hawkins involved, it's not exactly too transparent. She and Jimmy have been shown having contact prior to this, so her showing up makes a lot of sense.

While the ending was predictable, I wasn't sure which way the show was going to go.

Great episode. I'm glad to see that guy gone. In my opinion it was overkill having him in that role. I know it was to set up coming stuff but I didn't like it. Next weeks episode looks like it's going to be good too.

I really liked Hawkins in the episode. I don't know if he could take Jack Bauer but he's definatly smarter and has his head on straight.

Did anyone else watch the new Spidey cartoon? It was pretty cool. Harry sounded like a geek. The charcter designs and animation were pretty cool.

And South Park started too.

so my husband and I are in the middle of Season 1 of 30 Rock from Netflix right now. Damn, this show is funny! I knew a lot of critiques liked it and such, but I didn't realize just how funny this show is.

That show and The Departed made Alec Baldwin my personal hero.

It was Royal Tennenbaums and his episode of Friends that did it for me. That man is absolutely hilarious

Did anyone watch the premier of The Return of Jezebel James? It's really funny but that laugh track sucks. Parker Poser was amazing. Sadly I don't see it lasting long with the stupid time slot it got.

Next to last Episode of Jericho last night. Decent, but not the usual tension that Jericho manages to bring. Although I did expect a sniper to take Hawkins out while he was on the phone with master terrorist guy.

Not surprisingly, but with only 7 episodes to work with, things sure feel rushed. The blurb for next week said Season Finale, not Series, so I guess CBS isn't decided yet as to whether to try for a third season, or maybe some movies next year. With they way things are going, I don't see that there's much room for a third season in terms of growth and originality...it'd be more of the same that we've seen already. Still, I'm looking forward to at least one more trip with the folks from Jericho.

When I was watching Jericho I saw a commercial for a new show that's going to have Sulu singing country music.

South Park was hilarious last night with the Heavy Metal stuff.
