I haven't seen them but i'm always a sucker for extended editions. I loved the LOTR extendeds and the original Friday the 13th uncut is only 11 seconds longer but worth every moment! ;)

I'm right there with you. The LOTR extended editions are probably my favorites. The Harry Potter extended's clock in at 7 and 13 minutes longer. I didn't know if they added anything good.

I haven't looked into the Harry Potter extended's yet. I'll have to look it up and see what is added. But my curiosity is seriously piqued. ...Seriously. lol ;)

By the way, did i seriously just totally miss a Man of Steel giveaway? Doh! I mean, are you serious?! :groucho:

It kept asking me log in even after i logged in, so i never got it to redeem before i had to leave. Just tried again and now i'm getting the max authorization message.

Thank you, though! :)

Just out of curiosity, was it HD or SD?

UK, US, anywhere is pretty cool. Thank you for sharing! If i hadn't been in a hurry i might have gotten it. But Flixster was screwy as usual. I should have tried Vudu first. I should have already learned this lesson. I just keep hoping Flixster will get their shit together.

I know the Harry Potter Ultimate Editions come with digital copy codes but they are long expired. I wonder if Warner Bros. would issue out new codes? I know Universal does.

From what i have read, WB usually does. :) Also, from what i've read... Sony seems to be the only major studio that will pretty much never do it.

I like extended editions but are not over the top with them. For example, when you offered Hobbit AUJ Ext, I already have the theatrical so did not chime in despite thinking about it. :smt102

I don't think vudu would have worked for you as it was a UK code. Flixster through proxy seems to be the only way.

Did you watch the hobbit extended yet? All I noticed was naked dwarves in a fountain and a musical scene but I still have an hour to go.

Now watching Man of Steel

There's a new scene with Gandalf talking to Elrond. There's a bunch of new stuff of Bilbo walking around Rivendell. Bilbo visiting the marketplace in the beginning was new. There was also a new scene in the prologue. The goblin king's song was new along with new scenes of the dwarves at the dinner table in Rivendell. Those are just off the top of my head.

As soon as I got my LOTR extended editions I sold my theatrical versions. I always prefer the movie with more scenes. Unrated, extended and director's cuts for me. :D
