The coffee shakes

Postby Greg » Wed Apr 04, 2012 12:29 pm

I don't normally drink much coffee, but there rare occasion I decide to study for a test I ain't ready for, I have to get a cup or more to keep my mind flowing to gather information. Been drinking coffee since the morning. Now my hands are shaking and my body feels weird. Damn... how do you people drink these things on a regular?

I used to have a pot a day habit, then quit cold turkey.

Now I have a latte every morning.

This.

I gained a great tolerance to caffeine years (decades  ) ago when I became addicted Japanese ice coffee. Those little red cans were awesome tasting. But drinking four in a row meant being awake for nearly as many days. After that... have never had it that bad again.

I'm trying to quit caffeine so I can sleep. She's a hard habit to break. "She never mention the word addiction...in certain company."

Only drink caffeine up until five hours prior going to bed (intended time). Go with caffeine-free drinks at that point. Also... water. You'll sleep.

Caffeine has the opposite intended effect on some people. I am one of those people. If I'm dragging in the morning and drink some coffee to give me a boost, I actually feel no different. Just as sleepy as before.

Lucky?

I worked at a coffee shop and frequently had to open, and I'd be sleepy as hell. I had all the free coffee I could drink, and none of it would help keep me awake.

IT WAS HELL, DAMN YOU!!!

I was different. Everybody else lived on coffee. But usually, when I opened, I'd be the only one there until at least the lunch rush. I'd have to put Tool on the stereo, just so I could have some discordant shit to keep me from falling asleep.

And there weren't any hot bitches working there until my second or third year. We had to make do with this scrawny harlot type bitch who worked at the south of town location where I trained. But...pretty much everyone made do with her. I was resolved not to have anything to do with that filthy bitch.

Eventually the company decided it needed hot young bitches working there. Which meant I got to train them. And train them I did.

WITH CHOCOLATE THUNDA.

Of course, even before they started working there, it was the sort of job that made it absurdly easy to get bitches. The location I worked at was right across the street from a college. And in those days, college bitched loved coffee. Especially espresso-based drinks. This is how CHOCOLATE THUNDA was born in the first place.
