Does anyone know if there are any plans to make a videogame based on the Dark Knight Rises? I personally feel that one should be made as I still believe DC fucked up by cancelling the plans to make a game of the Dark Knight a few years ago due to Heath Ledger's death. Seeing as how the Dark Knight made a lot of money, they could have made more off of it with a videogame but I hope that they capitalize on the current movie and not miss a golden opportunity this time.

yeah, I think Arkham City was good enough to put the game of the year edition out prior to the movie.

It is weird though that Batman Begins and Dark Knight don't have a game.

Not complaining as the Arkham games have been fantastic, so I don't really need what will most likely be a rushed movie tie-in.

Batman Begins did have its own game actually.

I'm fine with no tie-in games. If we had those then we may not have gotten the Arkham games. Lastly, it shows that DC/Warner may actually get that it is better to let the different industries be independent rather than having them lockstep like what usually happens. In the name of quality, I hope this becomes the new standard.

I think that Dark Knight Rises could make a pretty good game. You could have a lot of variety, there could be sewer levels, taking out Bane's thugs as Batman or Gordon, Some cool cat burglary and thug ass kicking as Catwoman jumping from rooftop to rooftop, and streets of Gotham gunfights and detective/vigilante stuff as Blake. Add in some Batpod and Bat driving/flying portions, you're good to go.

I've yet to play a tie in game that wasn't a pile of shit. So good fro them. You want to play as Batman and fight Bane? Arkham Asylum and Arkham City are fucking amazing!

When I was watching the scenes with the three trucks running around the city, I was imaging it was a Lego game where you have to disable all 3 to unlock a canister.

Not yet. I don't own any of the new systems currently. If I did those games would be on my list to buy.

I would also add having Bane, Talia, Scarecrow, Joker and Ra's Al Ghul as unlockable characters should be thrown in.
