It's not a nightmare, IMO. It's the armor, being controlled remotely by mandarin or someone to get/kill Pepper or Tony.

In my opinion, there's enough mumbling Mickey Rourke throughout the trailer. How can we get Mickey Rourke to mumble in an over-the-top Russian accent throughout this trailer? That's what the kids want these days.

damn. oh shit. but if the suit is being controlled then its over. from that close and with her hand already in grip theres no hope. i cant imagine anything tony can say or do that could be fast enough to stop the suit before it punches her through the bed and floor all the way to the basement lab or tears her arm off and smacks her with it. voice activated emergency shut down maybe but he'd have to be fast as hell at saying it.

i think i'm gonna going to stick with the nightmare philosophy. from the evidence given to us so far it makes sense it would be a nightmare. if not she'd be dead right there.

oh wait maybe it'll just kidnap her. forgot that point. the trailer did show her crying like she was stuck or locked somewhere.

I thought nightmare because they are in his bed and she is standing beside Tony when the building gets destroyed. She couldn't get kidnapped before that point and the bed is destroyed with the house after. Unless it was a failed attempt and Tony defeated it before it got her somehow and the fight continues on through the home and into the morning for the attack.

The armor is fighting Tony not at night, but while the building is being destroyed during the day. (Plus, we don't know that it's fighting him there) So those two scenes aren't connected directly.

I'm sticking with nightmare too, I think Tony is working on a more automated suit (which we pretty much know about due to the armor number) and she is having a nightmare about it coming to life.

I agree. There's two things that suggest a dream too. A person tattered clothing walking through the wreck of the mansion and comes upon a seriously wounded Happy Hogan. This might be Tony's great nightmare that he's talking about in the beginning of the trailer. The one cannot make him fall asleep. So we know one attack isn't real (the suit) and the other is (the one with the helicopters). Shane Black wasn't kidding though when he said he take Tony back to the cave so to speak. GEEZ. the Ten Rings don't mess around.

From the scene where Tony mentally gloves up, the armor becoming sentient is also a possibility.

My first reaction to the house fall was that it looked a bit like the Enterprise D crashing in Generations.
