Wow! You guys have got this stuff covered...which is great! I didn't know there was a Young Justice Wiki, so I'm going to head there next and see if there's some other tidbits I could find!

The Aqualad reveal today was just awesome. At first I thought he was undercover or something but wow that was dark and brutal. Plus a mention of The Reach as the new allies for The Light.

The weak point however was that his motivation was based on the death of a character who was only seen briefly twice. That doesn't create much sympathy from the audience IMO. "Oh noez they killed a B-list background character. Oh the humanity!" Couldn't they have picked someone well known? Where the hell is Artemis? Why not kill her instead? That would have been a braver move by the writers and certainly more jaw dropping for long time viewers of the show.

I was really hoping to see the Pascal Ferry Adam Strange outfit. :(

This show really hates superhero costumes for some reason.

It probably is undercover, simply because it would be completely against everything we know about this character and while we got some explanation as to why it happened, it's not sufficient. If Miss Martian were to turn, her being a double agent would be a cop out. In Kaldur's case the cop out would be him turning evil off what we know.

It's things like this and Miss Martian's darkier attitude, that lead me to believe that this time jump is still only temporary. It would be extremely interesting to get to the halfway point of this season, realize that the bad guys have won, and have one or two team members go to the past to prevent this future from happening.

She also appeared in the comic YJ DC had out that filled in the details behind the scenes of the episodes.

Kinda disappointed to see Aqualad turn evil, especially if it's only because his daddy's evil and his girlfriend (?) was killed. If it's real, though, I'm looking forward to some GOOD fights!

Would like to see his evil turn in "real time" vs. in a flashback/discussion...

just because we only saw Tula twice on the show, doesn't mean in the 5 year gap she didn't become important (which clearly she did since she was on a mission when she died). I could see it pushing Aqualad to the side of Black Manta. If he blames his friends/team for Tula dieing, and he doesn't trust Aquaman because he lied to him about his father, i could see him going bad.

I'm talking about from the perspective of the audience, not the character. If you want to make a death impactful then you have to make the character important. Otherwise they're just a deus ex machina.

I'm not sure if the death was supposed to really mean much to the audience though.

Gotta say that today episodes were some of the best of either series so far, they were amazing!

Green Lanterns facing off against Hawkmen was awesome!! The Thanagarians in the prison being cut throat pirates and the like was awesome! Bumpy was especially bad ass! How they tricked the Hawkman was pretty freakin sweet as well! This show really has just gotten better and better with each week that goes by, and I absolutely love it!

The segment showing how Robin's Bo Staff would actually work was pretty cool.

The first short with Starfire and Blackfire was pretty hilarious as all the Teen Titans short have been.

Then Young Justice just blew me away, I think it was probably the best episode of the series and that I think is very high praise for a series this good. I loved seeing Batman, Nightwing, Robin, and Batgirl teaming up that was so awesome! Then we also got to see Wonder Woman and Wonder Girl team, and Superboy and Superman, and Aquaman and Lagoon Boy, so AWESOME!! I was shocked to see Aqualad had turned traitor against the League and his former teammates but his reason sounds just so far, but I need more story to it first to see if this is truly what it seems. Seeing Aqualad teamed up with Black Manta was pretty badass though I have to say. I am really curious who the shadowy figure was that planet the bomb, I am pretty sure it has something to do with Darkseid and Apokolips from everything else we are seeing. The Light teaming with Darkseid is definitely gonna be bad news for everyone. I also get the sinking feeling that having 6 of the most powerful members of the League go off planet is a very bad idea and probably part of someones plan to really turn things on their head for our heroes.

The Superfriends short was by far and away the best one yet, that was absolutely side splittingly funny! I was laughing my ass off the whole time, just awesome!

My guess is that at some point it will be reveled that Black Manta was secretly the cause of Tula's death, which he did because he thought it would be a way to turn Aqualad to his side.
