25 To Life

I resolve to:

- get in even better shape. Losing 30 lbs. in 2007 feels good. Another 30 would feel fantastic.

- actually learn French instead of passing on some key phrases.

- actually learn and practice guitar more.

- work hard in all aspects of graduate school. That I did as well as I did was a fluke and probably won't happen again.

- work on not being such an asshole. I have a big problem with most people. In that, they exist and I can't adjust to that.

- 'suck the marrow' out of life. I'm going to be traveling this year and I'm going to soak as much experience and wisdom out of that as possible. And in the ordinary, I'm going to try to find beauty.

I want to get my weight down to about 175 again. I'm a little over 180 now.

I want to get another book done. Maybe two.

I want a little more organization in my life.

- Be more patient when I am tired, especially with the kids.

- Continue nursing until Neva wants to stop

- Fill out the paperwork to donate my milk to preemies and sick children and pump as often as I possibly can

- Continue to promote breastfeeding through my video(s) and public displays of *gasp* a nursing baby.

- Of course, lose weight. Last year, I was pregnant and have no idea what my weight was, but I lost at least 20lbs in 2007. I want to lose 30-40 more lbs, but I think a realistic goal for 2008 is 20lbs. I don't think it'll happen until I stop breastfeeding, though...that sucks!

- No smoking! I've been having more urges since the stress level went up with two children... but I have not fallen off the wagon =D

- I would like to be less blunt and more reserved about who I share my true feelings with because I get into a lot of trouble when I let my guard down and tell people how I really feel...apparently, people don't like honesty, even when it comes from a friend!

I think that's a lot of resolutions, but most of them are not going to be hard.

Lose some weight. My waist hit 34" this month, and I am not amused. The beer gut is also losing its charm.

I want to lose a bit of weight to, but I'm hoping it drops off when I start playing rugby regually again.

It's totally overrated if you're under 25 ;)

But it's good experience, I guess. Don't rush into anything.
