Is it still going on? And did it change anything?

It made people aware that there were some incredibly wealthy people in this country, but didn't really provide a lot of context. And in the end it didn't change how wall street operates, and didn't affect the policies in washington.

It also made people aware they don't like their lives being disrupted by smelly, dumb, drug using hippies. And it cost various municipalities millions of dollars that they now have to reduce services for to cover.

But yeah, it's still going on, but most people no longer care.

Sadly, it made people aware that many conservatives are only pro-protest and free speech when it's something they agree with. Otherwise, it's character assasination time. For shame.

Like most protests, it accomplished absolutely nothing but annoy even people who might agree with their stance.

They were allowed to build a shanty town in that part for like 2 months, and then return to protesting after they cleaned it out. Protesting does not mean you pop a tent down in the middle of a public place and take up shop. That's vagrancy.

What stance? The one that was almost explained more then two months after it all started?
Or the obvious, "Give us what we want and let us do whatever we want, we hate successful people who we call conservatives"?

They tried to restart last weekend here in Toronto. They then went off a protested/made demands that the police turn over those they arrested while claiming police brutality endlessly.

I think the weakness in a lot of these protests is that they don't really have a concrete plan. You go to one of these things and almost everyone will say something different and they also don't have any ideas (concrete ones) how they could solve these issues themselves.

If they actually had a specific plan about what they want to change and had a concrete idea how to do it, the protests would be more effective. Also they need to go directly to parliament/congress to deal with it. It would probably be ignored by the politicians anyway but it certainly would get more support from people, and the media would have a harder time ignoring it.

A dog barking is still a dog barking, even when accompanied by more dogs. After all, one starts, they all mindlessly act with it.

I think it made people realize for about 15 minutes just how drastically out of balance wealth and power is in the United States.

Then they started pooping on police cars and making drum circles

The cynical old conservative in you is showing

The "barking" can become intelligible if it's planned out better, and they lobby to parliament rather than just staying in one spot.
