Day 95.
I have a huge stack of wrestling DVDs to watch. ROH, WWE, IVP, etc. So today I told my wife to pick one out of the WWE stack for me to start on. Fate, karma, whatever - she chose The Twisted & Disturbed Life of Kane. I made a face about it, but I bought it and I gotta watch it sometime - right? At least it's only two discs right?
What?
It's three?
Triple H doesn't even have three discs!
Anyway, no choice but to kick it off. The first match is Kane's in-ring debut against Mankind from Survivor Series '97. I'm pretty sure something important happened on that PPV. Anyway. Foley does all kinds of insane bumps with the end effect making Kane look supermonstrous. It worked well.
Next was Kane vs. Undertaker at Wrestlemania XIV. This match is somewhat historic. It's interesting how good it is to start. Kane is doing all kinds of crazy shit like springboarding off the top rope and Electric Chair Slams. But I guess doing all that completely destroyed him because he locks in one lengthy damn headlock. Everyone knows this match, I'm sure, so it's the Undertaker going 8-0 at Wrestlemania using three tombstones to do so (Kane becoming the first person to ever kick out of one - and point of fact he actually kicks out of the third but the ref counted the fall anyway, SHENANIGANS THE STREAK IS FAKE).
Match of the Day goes to Kane vs. Mankind.
