I think we should put this all behind us and embrace our shared love of mostly naked shaved men fake wrestling each other and our shared disgust at half naked women doing the same thing

I will, however, remain irritated that the Internet thinks we were chanting "Welcome Back" at Albert when we were really chanting "You Shaved Your Back."

I can go back and link to dozens of my own posts in this very thread defending Cena but wanting him to lose cleanly every now and again and have some kind of harder edge. I think those are very reasonable feelings and I never go at anybody for being a fan.

You might be good about him, but the vast majority here are right clamdiggers about it

I think Cena is great personally and a lot of people won't admit it or might not realize it, but without him WWE would sink faster than it is now.

That's true but only because WWE refused to put anybody over Orton or Cena for so many years and fans have no reason to get behind anyone else. Not even Punk, the hottest act since Austin, beat him cleanly! People (especially little kids and casual fans -- women) like winners. Bandwagon jumpers. And Cena and Orton win constantly. WWE put all their eggs into one basket with bad booking but props to Cena for being able to handle the pressure.

Jeremiah: I disagree with you. Maybe you didn't know Brock would be there, but everybody else did. Hell, everyone in this thread knew.

I think Cena should have ignored the chant instead of doing his snarky "hold out the microphone" move. If he had just kept talking, this wouldn't have been an issue because either people would have settled down to hear him or booed because he was ignoring him.

I think, well I hope, Brock wins the title before Royal Rumble, Rock beats Brock for the title at Royal Rumble or Elimination Chamber, Cena wins Royal Rumble, and then Cena beats Rock for the title at WM29.

I hope none of that happens. I have no problem with Brock getting another shot at being the heavyweight champion because he's still young (34) and he's only a three time heavyweight champion. The Rock getting another shot at the heavyweight championship would only work if he's back on a consistent basis. But Cena? No, hell no. Cena is already a twelve time heavyweight champion. At least with Brock and the Rock, they haven't hit the double digits whereas Cena on the other hand has and my philosophy has always been once someone has hit those double digits, they don't need another shot at the heavyweight title anymore. I don't want to see someone who benefits more in being the heavyweight title scene (like CM Punk) get lost in the shuffle. Cena damn sure doesn't need to win the Royal Rumble either, he already had his Royal Rumble victory. Again, let someone who hasn't had their Royal Rumble victory (like CM Punk or Randy Orton) get theirs.

Randy Orton won in '09. Or '10. Whichever year was WM25.

Day 95.

I have a huge stack of wrestling DVDs to watch. ROH, WWE, IVP, etc. So today I told my wife to pick one out of the WWE stack for me to start on. Fate, karma, whatever - she chose The Twisted & Disturbed Life of Kane. I made a face about it, but I bought it and I gotta watch it sometime - right? At least it's only two discs right?

What?

It's three?

Triple H doesn't even have three discs!

Anyway, no choice but to kick it off. The first match is Kane's in-ring debut against Mankind from Survivor Series '97. I'm pretty sure something important happened on that PPV. Anyway. Foley does all kinds of insane bumps with the end effect making Kane look supermonstrous. It worked well.

Next was Kane vs. Undertaker at Wrestlemania XIV. This match is somewhat historic. It's interesting how good it is to start. Kane is doing all kinds of crazy shit like springboarding off the top rope and Electric Chair Slams. But I guess doing all that completely destroyed him because he locks in one lengthy damn headlock. Everyone knows this match, I'm sure, so it's the Undertaker going 8-0 at Wrestlemania using three tombstones to do so (Kane becoming the first person to ever kick out of one - and point of fact he actually kicks out of the third but the ref counted the fall anyway, SHENANIGANS THE STREAK IS FAKE).

Match of the Day goes to Kane vs. Mankind.

Yoshi Tatsu definitely one of the most underrated and underused guys on the roster. I would love to see him get a push against a guy like Tensai.

the crowd, you included, basically shouted out "Vader is Luke's Father" durring the light saber batter in Cloud City.

Then, after the crowd spoiled the reveal, some of you still wanted Cena to "sell" it? What, act all shocked that they guy whose name everyone's been chanting for the past 5 minutes showed up? "hey, kids, surprise, the sun rose today  !"

Do you want him to react and adapt to the crowd or not?

Fuck, he could literally shit bricks and people would be mad at him for driving down the cost of gold

Basically yeah that was my only real complaint with the crowd, I had no intention of insulting anyone from the crowd personally. I expect everyone to have fun and do whatever they want at a show they paid money to see, but it was a turn off for me personally when they started the Lesnar chants before he came out, thats all I was saying.

I can't speak for everyone else, but it would have been nice for him to look pissed at Brock since they hate each other in the world of WWE.

That I agree with as well, as I said earlier today Cena basically laid a turd on Monday night. He should have either been all distraught and unconfident since he lost or either mad as hell at the Rock. Then when Lesnar showed up he should have been super pissed because of the history the two of them have. Hopefully and this is me giving Cena the benefit of the doubt again, on Monday we will get at least an angry Cena that is ready to kick some ass.

That actually makes a lot of sense. If they had just had Brock show up on the stage right at the end of WM, the tons more people would have probably tuned in for Monday night.

My wife was watching we me and she said she could clearly hear "You Shaved Your Back" She thought that was hilarious because she always made fun of Albert when he was so hairy.

If the story is true and Brock showed up to the arena 30 seconds before he walked on stage, then they probably had to change the promo and had Cena stall for as long as possible. How long can you go on and on about how disappointed you are with losing the night before until it gets boring?
