I read that in OVW Ryback was suppposed to be a Terminator-cyborg like gimmick (gee, wonder who could've come up with that *cough*dustyrhodes*cough*).

I think he showed up like that on ECW but I don't rembember him.

Started off with Smackdown! this morning. The show was solid, but nothing amazing. I don't like the idea of putting Teddy Long in a series of skits that will be designed to make fun of him, a la Jim Ross. The opener was a fun story, with David Otunga continuing to come off with tons of charisma. I told ya'll it was there. Randy Orton vs. Kane was much better than their WM-encounter. It was a really fun match with the right person going over. Nice to see Randy find that fire again as I was worried it was gone for good. Big Show vs. Heath Slater was a nothing match. Ryback's debut was handled well enough, but it's a dumb name and the singlet is a bad idea. Sheamus vs. Del Rio was a bit of snoozer, honestly. Bryan Danielson's promo was the usual good stuff.

I continued with disc 2 of Kane's DVD. The first match I watched from it today was Kane vs. Triple H, in a match where the winner would unify the World and IC championships. This is during the post-brand split glut where wrestling got really bad for me. Triple H was absolutely dreadful during this time. The match is utterly boring until Ric Flair interferes and then we get tons of shenanigans. This might be a case where overbooking a finish works because my God was I falling asleep before hand.

Next up was Kane/RVD vs. Chris Jericho/Christian. Standard, good, formulaic tag match. The story seemed more to veer towards Jericho/HBK than have anything to do with Kane.

Match of the Day goes to Kane vs. Randy Orton.

Orton was probably butthurt he was wrestling Kane at WM so half assed it..

Apparently legitimacy means a split lip and a bloody mouth, which is a good thing. Brock only had 1 sentence so it's pretty close to silent.

Damn now thats what I wanted to see a Cena that actually wants to fight and kick some ass, even though it looks like he was the one that end up on the ass kicked end tonight.

There are some folks in the ring right now I haven't seen on TV in ages. Billy Kiddman, Dustin Rhodes, Mike Rotunda, Jamie Noble :lol:

Damn good way to kick off the show and get everyone super excited!

Man just watched the replay and Cena slapped the fuck outta Brock, but then Brock fucking nailed Cena with a straight right hand to the mouth! That was awesome!
