Punk and Jericho delivered yet another great segment.

Wow.

That ending by Punk about this being personal and about kicking Jericho's ass was great.

Jericho going off on Henry and smacking him with the monitor was cool. Jericho just walking out holding the cases of beer was better. I like seeing Henry kill Punk and lose the last two weeks.

One thing about Jericho pouring beer on Punk that makes me laugh is the fact that the crowd booing him would be cheering wildly if it was Austin doing the exact same thing to Punk

Nice to see the refs show up like 10 minutes too late to stop this stuff.

I hope that Henry's speech is a sign he's ready to be a monster again, even if there's no way he wins next week.

Lesnar's little speech is a lot better than a lot of what he used to do, but it's still too much talking for him, IMO.

I really hope he can go back to being one of the best in ring power guys of all time.

I don't know if we need everyone talking about how amazing HHH vs Undertaker was for a full segment. :smt102

I also don't know how I feel about the throwback Smackdown tomorrow. Oh wait, i know exactly how I feel about it, it's going to be boring for the most part if there's too mucha bout old guys. It also seems a bit out of character for Ace, even with his Power to the People stuff.

I know Cena wanted to make Otunga look decent, and he just got in a big fight a couple hours ago, but I would have much preferred if Otunga just got crushed like Yoshi against Tensai. Cena should have ran him over like a runaway train, IMO.

That said, Otunga is a little better in the ring. Still not good, but a little better.

Lesnar jumping Cena was obvious, but still fun.

I was surprised there were some boos (or what sounded like boos anyways) mixed in with the crowd reaction. Lesnar is kind of a heel, but not too much so IMO. He's come across as a monster, he's beating Cena up, and even though he's working for Ace he just seems like a beast again. Add in the fact he's a popular returning guy, and that seems like a recipe for a guy the crowd would almost unanimously cheer.

Anyways, I thought it was a pretty good show overall.

I also love Lesnar has no problem being the heel

This is the main reason this is better than the Rock stuff so far, there's an actual heel involved and there's real aggression on both sides.

Day 100 (yesterday).

Finished up disc 2 of the Kane DVD.

First match I watched was Kane vs. Rob Van Dam in a cage. A good match with RVD bringing his creativity to the table for a number of fun spots. At one point Kane tossed RVD into the cage, the cage broke and RVD fell to the ground giving him the win only to have evil heel GM Eric Bischoff restart the match. Kane ended up winning with an avalanche chokeslam.

Next up was Kane vs. Shane McMahon in a Last Man Standing. Another fun match as Shane was always willing to do whatever stupid bump to get a match over. In this particular he jumps off the stage scaffolding. Probably a good 15-20 feet on the dive. There's really only one major problem with the match.

Then there's the Kane vs. Shane McMahon Ambulance Match that I skipped on YMotD. It's actually awesome, surprisingly. They brawl all over the arena. Shane does all of these things to try and incapacitate Kane in a smart way. A lot of the spots with the ambulance itself are creative and brutal. Kane ultimately ends up winning. Again, there's only one major problem with the match.

These two matches did a great job of elevating Shane McMahon as a great brawler. Well that's great, but he's not exactly an active wrestler. I can't help but think maybe RVD would have been better suited for these matches.

Finally, I watched Kane vs. Matt Hardy. Bit of a nothing match as the storyline here was more of Kane and Lita with Matt being kind of a supporting player. Kane won so now Lita has to marry him.

Match of the Day goes to Shane McMahon vs. Kane (Ambulance Match).

I thought the same thing. We've come a long way from Austin's beer truck antics somehow.

I think they'd cheer Steve doing it next week. I don't think it's that we've come very far, as much as people just love Steve being an asshole and most anyone else that acts like that. Kind of like how people would cheer Eddie for doing stuff they'd boo other guys for on the same show.

I'm not big on being a conspiracy theorist but I can't help but feel like that's all Triple H because you don't see segments where the wrestlers were praising any of the other matches including the most hyped up match on the card being that of Cena/Rock.
