Brian Kendrick, also known as Spanky, will enter his first Best of the Super Jr. tournament as the replacement for Davey Richards in Block B. Kendrick made a brief cameo in New Japan last June as a surprise member of CHAOS and ally of Jado & Gedo, and his achievements include being a former WWE Tag Team Champion.

Bam Bam Bigelow was a monstrous guy, because of his size. Taz was so well-protected in ECW, that didn't come off as a mismatch like it would just about anywhere else. It's worth nothing that Heyman tried to pull the same storyline off before with Taz/911, but I think 911 was signed by WCW before it could really materialize or maybe Taz hurt himself? Finally getting caught up on raw. I ask this periodically, but wtf so people are in Randy Orton? He looks and acts like a smug douchebag, and his matches are boring.

Continuing the ECW-trend, I watched the Pitbulls vs. Raven/Stevie Richards. This is a 2/3 Falls, double dog collared tag match for the ECW tag team titles and if the Pitbulls lose, they'll never tag again. It's a pretty chaotic brawl, with a huge bladejob from Stevie Richards. This is the only ECW match Scooter Keith ever gave 5 stars to. The finish is all kinds of overbooked, IMO, though. It starts with Pitbull #2 getting taken out by medics, some Dreamer replaces him. Dreamer pins Raven and the Pitbulls win, but then Fonzie comes out and overturns the decision. Then Tod Gordon comes out and they argue. Then 911 comes out and chokeslams Fonzie. There's a cat fight here somewhere. Pitbull #2 returns and they double-superbomb Richards and Raven to win. Fun stuff all in all.

Match of the Day goes to the Pitbulls vs. Stevie Richards/Raven, of course.

Raven was a god in ECW.

TNA signed MMA fighter King Mo Lawal to a contract. He'll be appearing on both TNA and Bellator's MMA show. He's a former multiple time NCAA, world and all-American amateur champ so there is wrestling foundation there. He'll be going to OVW to train. He says he wants to prove himself to become a champ in 1-2 years after he debuts.

Downside is he was kicked out of Strikeforce while suspended for steroids. Other than that he strikes me as TNA's answer to Brock Lesnar.

Didn't they already try this sort of thing once before with Bobby Lashley? I recall it not working so well then.

I'd say it's a dumber move on Bellator's part. They don't need that kind of baggage when they've got a pretty good set of fighters like Michael Chandler, Pat Curran, and Ben Askren.

Day 571

It's been a year and a half since I got off the couch. My unemployment insurance ran out weeks ago and I think there are mice living in my beard.

Today I watched Koko B. Ware beat some jobber from a Superstars match in 1984. The bird cracks me up. I was envious of the jobber's physique. Koko won with a Ghost Buster.

Then I watched Kane vs. Undertaker from Wrestlemania XIV. Good match. Undertaker wins after three Tombstones.

Match of the day goes to the one that lit my fireplace to keep me warm since my electricity was cut. One day I'll start looking for a job again and stop watching wrestling matches all day.

So the first in-house ROH iPPV has been plagued with difficulties. I missed the first match and a lot of others are missing the whole show. The stream itself is probably the best I've ever seen for one of these. But the web site couldn't handle the strain of all the viewers. Someone on the BOARD said the perfect analogy is that the it's like there's an arena that can hold 20,000 people, but there's only one door and everyone is trying to get through.
