This ending turned this into a huge sloppy mess. I don't get how Ziggler getting the contract down isn't a win. :smt102

Shamus coming out to tell everyone this match was pointless and that it's just going to be a triple threat match just makes this even more pointless.

The ending to that match and then the Sheamus interruption made it seem like the finish wasn't supposed to go that way and they changed it on the fly to cover it. It was really awkward.

I was sad to see Show come out and distract Cena, as this was fine without him and they really didn't need the added stuff. the Cena vs Show feud should be done. I get they are all in the MITB match, but there's room to build to that in future weeks while it would have been nice to just see this match play out.

Overall, some really dumb stuff, but some good stuff as well. Kind of a mixed bag of a show. There's always so much wasted time, I really don't see how they will fill 3 hours on a weekly basis without it getting really tedious most weeks. They just don't seem to know how to balance time as is, making a 50% increase in time doesn't seem like a good idea.

The good thing about Nitro when it was 3 hours and they needed to fill time is they would just throw out 2 random wrestlers and give them 8-10 minutes to do whatever they wanted. I always liked the random Steven Regal vs La Parka or Hugh Morris vs Bobby Eaton matches and sometimes they were good or sometimes they were crap but it was intriguing nonetheless.

Big Show and Jericho in the ring together reminded me of when their tag team split up and they had those break up videos for a few weeks afterwards.

Don't forget that Nitro and/or WCW also had extremely well defined Cruiserweight and Tag Team Divisions which is something that I really miss. The WWE desperately needs to start establishing teams like the Rockers, Demolition, the Midnight Express, and the Dudleyz and letting the Tag Team titles start meaning something again.

They also need to start rebuilding the prestige of the midcard belts like the Intercontinental and United States titles. Yes, realistically they should be stepping stones to elevate midcard talents to the next level and even though I don't agree with having both titles exists in the same company at the same time, it should be an honor to hold one of those championships. They shouldn't joke around about who is holding it because the wrestler holding any championship belt should be looked upon as the best wrestler in their division.

Anyways, that's my two cents.

for the 3 hour Raw to be any good or any form of successful they are going to have to modify their format and way of doing business, because trying to do a 3 hour campy comedy variety show based on wrestling is not going to get them far

I could see that, but it seemed like the kicking of the contract and whatnot was so overdone that it seemed like it was on purpose. I don't know, either way it was a total mess.

That hasn't stopped them from doing a two hour one for ten years.

I agree completely and like I said, the WWE needs to start working on building a strong Cruiserweight, Tag Team, and Intercontinental/United States Division. Instead of seeing 2 or 3 half hour promos, let's start seeing some talented technical wrestlers put on 15-20 minute matches that showcase their abilities. Instead of pairing up the opponents for the upcoming World Title match, let's see some Tag Teams establish themselves and feud with each other for the Tag Team titles.

It really isn't rocket science. People watch wrestling because they want to see some wrestling. By building up a stronger midcard, the WWE can actually improve the sustainability of their main eventers like John Cena because the fans won't feel as though they are constantly being shoved down their throats.

Best match in my opinion was Davey Richards vs Kevin Steen for the ROH world heavyweight title with the tag title match between Wrestling's Greatest Tag-Team and the All-Night Express being a close second.

Adam Cole wrestling even with two teeth knocked out was amazing to see

Heard about that, sucks for him.

Was it in NYC again? I didn't like the crowd the last time they were there, they need to move PPVs around.

I watched the first episode of the new season of NXT. First, just to get it out the way, the sound issues were atrocious. They were almost PWG in 2003 bad. Hopefully that's fixed by next week, but I get the impression it probably won't be addressed until the next taping. Next, Jim Ross and William Regal were excellent on commentary. I'd like to see them do a main show. Lastly, before moving on to the matches, I loved all the vignettes - but in particular Ascension and Bray Wyatt. Lots of good stuff from perspective.

Bo Dallas vs. Rick Victor was OK for what it was (get used to that cliche). I might be alone in this, but Dallas just seems utterly bland. Problem is he has a better, or maybe more standard look than compared to his brother who obviously has tons and tons of personality. I will say that Bo's spear was pretty great, though.

Damien Sandow's segment was fine.

Ascension vs. CJ Parker/Mike Daltwon was OK for what it was. These guys need a bit more work in the tag team area, but overall their characters are just fantastic. I've loved them since the first vignettes. Their entrance is pretty wicked, as well, although I do miss the strobe lights. Didn't care for their finish, though.

Johnny Curtis stood out in his segment with Derrick Bateman, which ultimately did nothing for me.

Tyson Kidd vs. Michael McGillicutty was a very good match. I've figured out what Tyson Kidd's major problem is in WWE. It's that he's in WWE. This man belongs in ROH and hopfully, and most likely, he'll get a chance to do his thing there. He was brilliant here and did good job holding Hennig's hand and working out a great match. His Dungeon Lock is a unique submission, but I'm not sure it'll ever get over to any degree of importance.

Match of the Day goes to Tyson Kidd vs. Michael MicGillicutty.

:-D No kidding.

When Regal and Ross started on FCW it wasn't clicking for me at first. But they' great.
