I dunno, I think Ziggler is a victim of bad luck really, if he hadn't have gotten concussed on that random episode of Smackdown, he probably would have stayed World Champ for a while longer.

Apparently, in all his interviews lately with Michael Cole, while Hunter keeps promising "one man" will win it all, he hasn't been more specific than that. So, an interesting theory I heard attributed to Wade Keller: somehow, the Unified Champion walking out of TLC is... Triple H.

Vince McMahon is still pretty heavily involved. Last I remember reading regarding Ziggler was that McMahon had developed the mindset that Ziggler would never be a draw.

That and I think he said some things in an interview that the company didn't like.

Yes, and it’s nice seeing consistency in a character. He’s just mean and the biggest asshole.

He certainly is.

I also agree with you about his character always being consistent. Yeah, he's always played the same jerkish heel type character, but he does it so well that he really doesn't need to change.

Poor Ziggler. He gets demoted after ADR fucks up.

It reminds me of how Alex Smith lost his QB job after getting a concussion. It's pretty lousy to replace someone for getting hurt.

From JR's Q&A: Is WWE “punishing” Dolph Ziggler? No. If WWE wanted to “punish” Ziggler they would simply not use him on TV and allow him to fade into obscurity. More fans should use their common sense on this one. Dolph is hugely talented and, generally, athletes who are on Ziggler’s level overcome any perceived obstacles. The key is to not check out and to keep turning heads.

Per the Observer, the reasoning for all the corporate switcheroo is to protect Stephanie if the Network fails.

One of my favorite WWE pops was the day Ziggler used his briefcase.

The crowd went nuts.

Another one was when Santino almost won the Royal Rumble.

I wish WWE had the balls to go through with that one.

Funnily enough, both involved ADR.

Yeah I will never understand the E basically rewarded the guys who actively injure other superstars...even if it's just an accident.

(looking at Ryback and ADR on this one)

It was almost 2 years ago now but one of the best built feuds and something that actually made that US championship mean something again was Ziggler vs Ryder for that belt.

I'm pretty sure Jack Swagger is the one who concussed Ziggler, not Del Rio.

ADR's kicks to his head were all part of the storyline, and it was actually a very well-done story, their double-turn match at Payback is one of the best this year I think.
